Finally, the comfiest, most easy to clean, most stylish booster seat. (Can you tell we’re excited?)

If there is a stage called “Booster Seat Battles,” none of the parenting books have mentioned it–but that’s exactly what my family is currently dealing with. The 2-year-old has refused to sit in a booster, preferring instead to reach up over his head with his spoon and try to dribble his cereal down to his mouth. And the 5-year-old suddenly must have a booster seat to sit in–or at least be offered one–or we’re in for all kinds of dinnertime drama. So let’s just say Luv Chicken is helping us out tremendously right now. Besides being awesome to say...

What’s the best sippy cup? We may have just found it.

The sippy cup. Ah, how I wish we were past this stage of life. For now I accept my fate that is the avalanche of cups and lids falling on my head every time I open the cabinet. My disdain however only makes me more appreciative of those times I find a sippy cup that is easy to manage and stands up to the elements- and by elements I mean aggressive toddler. We love pretty much everything that inventive company Zo-li does, which is why they’re a mainstay in our Baby Shower Gift Guide, and this new entry is...

Kids’ name labels get the chevron touch

We love chevrons around here–on everything from baby blankets and hats to birthday favor bags and onesies. Their cool, retro School House Rock vibe somehow translates into the perfect pattern for modern kids. So the name labels from Namemaker, for things like water bottles, sippy cups, and containers, are right up our chevon-loving alley. Even better that these are stickers with serious substance. They’re made with a special durable polyester that renders them totally waterproof–even in the dishwasher, which is a huge plus. You can have up to three lines of text if you so choose, and, even though the stickers are durable,...

Take a hike, kid.

Keep it simple is my personal motto. So l get an extra kick when I see simple meet clever. And a little bit of cute doesn’t hurt either.  Canadian “picturemaker” Terry Irwin achieves all of the above with his funky retro vibed prints and I am really digging these designs. This lil’ hiker print is a clear winner to jazz up a kids room. Makes you want to step out for a brisk morning walk and take on the day doesn’t it? I also happen to love Terry’s happy monster kids’ prints. That would solve some bedtime issues here. See? They are...

Stroller technicians are the new massage therapists.

Raise your hand if your stroller needs a good fixin or deep cleaning? Great! Now that I have your attention–every single one of you–I’m thrilled to tell you about a new baby gear detailing service that will reduce the stress of maintaining kiddo’s wheels. At the height of my insanity, I had three strollers. Yup, three. Thanks to Stroller Spa, you don’t have to...

The nesting dolls that your baby’s nest needs

We love the whimsical designs, beautiful black and white contrast, and durability of Wee Gallery products. So not surprisingly, they make for some of the most interesting nesting dolls we’ve ever seen. Hurry, though– quantities are limited, and you’ll want them. The Wee Gallery Nesting Dolls are disarmingly charming. The 4″ tall lion, cat, and owl tuck up tidily and straddle the line between cutesy and chic. Based on a set of nesting dolls painted by Wee Gallery co-founder Surya Sajnani for her own children, the dolls are made in Russia and just as appropriate for the bookshelf as...

Non-toxic paint that is safe for your baby? Yes please.

Creating a cute, stylish nursery is supposed to be fun and invigorating. Then you find out all the places that toxic chemicals have taken over and it changes things a bit. If you’re like me, you want to cut some corners for your budget’s sake. But when it comes to paint, I think it’s totally worth it to spend a little more for something non-toxic. Lullaby Paints has developed a green, organic, baby-safe paint made specifically for expectant and newborn moms. I had high hopes for this product and giving it a try, thankfully, it exceeded my expectations. This paint...

Cool artwork for cool kids. And their cool parents too.

During one of my late night Etsy search sessions (Yes, I like to live dangerously), I happened upon this amazing artwork that I think would my kids would love just as much as I do. And that’s exactly the combination I’m looking to cover their walls with. And boy do they need covering. I’m having a hard time choosing which of the unique artwork by Matte Stephens that I like most. For my kids, I’m really digging the Adventurer’s Club (left), which I think is pretty fantastic for a boys (or girls) room, or even a playroom. But for me, I’ve got my eye...

Funny Father’s Day cards that actually are

Finding a funny Father’s Day card that has nothing to do with golf, grilling, tools, beer, or leaving the toilet seat up is not an easy task, as I’ve discovered. And yet–voila. I’ve tracked down 7 funny Father’s Day cards that I would actually send. (No offense, Hoops and Yoyo.) I love this Star Wars Father’s Day Card that reminds him some dads are better than others. In other words, Dear dad: Thanks for not trying leading the evil Imperial forces against the galaxy ($4 at Wit and Whistle) What’s bigger than a Vente? A Padre evidently. This custom...

A Father’s Day gift from the kid. Of the kid.

We’ve recently shared 10 of our favorite personalized Father’s Day gifts, and now there’s one more we’re in love with. Now let me first tell you, normally, I get a little panicked about Father’s Day gift-giving, while consoling myself with the knowledge that, worse comes to worst, my husband always sincerely appreciates a card from the kids. But with this discovery, I’m totally calm–because he’s getting personalized cards of the kids. [don’t miss an exclusive, limited time discount after the jump!] Cool Mom Picks loved the unique holiday cards from Dear Ida, and now we’re completely smitten with their new...
