Sending beautiful birth announcements and baby shower invitations just got easier. Way easier.

Paperless Post has saved my hide on more than one occasion in the last 3 years since they launched. I’ve used this wonderful service to send digital kids’ party invitations, adult party invitations, thank you notes, and yeah, apology notes for not sending a thank you note sooner. We’re so excited that they’re now launching an extensive collection just for new parents starting today. And we get to be the first to tell you about it! Also? It’s gorgeous. The Paperless Post baby collection is as comprehensive as it is beautiful, with 250 (!!) designs that include shower invitations,...

First Communion Gift Ideas? Reader Q&A

My 8 year old niece is about to celebrate her First Communion, and I don’t have any good gift ideas. Can you help? Thanks, Sarah I don’t remember much about my First Communion oh-so-many-years-ago, but I think my relatives gave me cards with a few dollars inside. While you can go that route, here are some very special gifts that will have her remembering your thoughtfulness for a long time, which may be more than we can say for a $20 bill in a card. -Christina Commemorate the day with Pearlie Girl’s pretty silver bookmark (above) personalized with her name...

Baptism gift ideas? Reader Q&A

You guys are so great at finding great gift ideas, and so I come to you with this: I have my fourth niece/nephew to buy a gift for . . . Hoping you have some good ones up your sleeves! -Christina W. I love that not only can the name be personalized, but the wording on the...

Huge congratulations!  Now when it comes to more classic special occasion dresses for girls , you’ll find a lovely selection at Bean New York, plenty of which are...

Vintage baby clothing from the last depression to help cheer up this one?

I wasn’t sure what to think of Belle Heir’s fine vintage children’s clothing when I first visited their website, but the more I browsed through, the more fascinated I became by the clothing made when my parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents were young. I think I clicked on every single vintage outfit on the site simply to see the handiwork and unbelievable condition of clothes 50-120 years old. I totally fell in love with this 1930’s cotton romper (shown) and the cotton embroidered dress from 1900. These clothes are not exactly for everyday wear. But for an occasion like...
