Plant Stamps: Seeded stickers that do more than ruin your car windows (says this mom)

Stickers can be the bane of a parent’s existence, especially when they’re plastered to the car windows or gumming up the vacuum cleaner. Ask me how I know. But a mom-and-pop company from Massachusetts caught our attention among the Martha Stewart American Made finalists for turning boring old stickers into a craft project for kids, a nifty wedding gift, a way to make the world a prettier place, and a great business employing people with disabilities. Sweet… basil! Plant Stamps are made in the USA and come in a variety of styles to suit any occasion from a wedding to a baby...

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a girl doll in a superhero costume that you design.

We were so excited when we discovered Lottie, a doll who skips the stilettos and miniskirts (and curves) for clothes that look like what an actual kid would wear. Lottie comes with lots of skin and hair colors and has oodles of outfits and activities from martial arts to horseback riding to butterfly-catching. Until now, she didn’t have a superhero costume, but that’s about to change. Until May 7, kids can help design Lottie’s superhero persona, and one winner will see her costume actually made for Lottie dolls everywhere. We love Lottie, and we can’t wait to find out...

But right now, you might not have to dream, since they’re giving away a $200 gift card as part of their spring photo contest. Yeah, we’d...

Hallmark rewards you for sending the cards you’d send anyway. Hey, thanks!

– Don’t miss a $500 giveaway we put together just for Cool Mom Picks readers! – As big proponents of sending cards (and saving the ones we receive ourselves, for all of eternity), we’re pretty excited to see just how many beautifully designed, modern cards are being offered by our partner Hallmark these days. Because let’s be honest, we’re often the ones in the local drugstore days before Christmas, stocking up for all those last minute invitations and visitors. And we are picky. As you well know.  No, we didn’t design this but we want to hire whomever did.  ...
