Boots with a pocket for a cell phone. Beats keeping it in your bra, right?

EDITORS’ NOTE (Jan, 2015): We suggest you read our postscript below, as well as the comments beneath this post, if you have arrived at this page with intent to order from Elizabeth Anne Boots. The overwhelming number of complaints regarding customer service, lack of communication, egregious shipping delays, and failure to provide refunds in any prompt manner (if at all) compels us to completely rescind our recommendation of this company.  —– While we’re still swooning over the cross body phone cases we found for carrying around our precious smart phones, hands free, along comes another brilliant solution: The new boots with a pocket for a cell phone...

PLAE shoes make playing more stylish and comfortable for kids

With four kids to outfit in back-to-school clothes and shoes this year, you can bet I’m extra picky about what I purchase because I simply can’t afford to keep rebuying items throughout the year. And while I have my go-tos that are tried and true over the years, I’m happy to have found PLAE shoes — and so are my kids. Designed by a former designer from one of the big-name, stylish athletic shoes, he definitely nails the balance of great style and wearable play shoes. My littlest ones have spent the summer running around in PLAE’s stylish, funky kicks, and while...

Handcrafted leather bags as gorgeous as those from any big name designer

I love designer bags from big names, don’t get me wrong. But there’s also just something awesome about handcrafted bags from indie designers and smaller names, especially when they are as modern, sophisticated, and hot (did I mention hot?) as the ones at Opelle Creative. For the price of a big name mass-produced designer bag, you can get a handcrafted leather bag made to order especially for you at Opelle,  a Toronto-based label on Etsy that creates each of their gorgeous designs from original patterns. Let’s just say it’s as close to getting a bag made just for me as I’ll probably ever get. I already feel like...

PS, I Made This: Easy DIY tutorials for makers with a heart

When I was a kid, my mom put me in sewing camp for a week one summer. My style has since progressed from the neon purple and pink poufy overalls I made then, but I still craft — and I still need some inspiration from time to time. For a fashion-forward take on all things DIY, I’ve been turning to the easy tutorials on PS, I Made This a website filled with easy DIY tutorials which all pack a lot of style in just a few simple steps. Erica Domesek is the creative talent behind this site, which is full of stylish, attention-getting projects, like...

Slip happens.

Okay, I know it isn’t 1984 and Madonna isn’t the world’s biggest style icon, but I must confess that I’ve started showing my bra straps again. And not in the “I-have-a-baby-feeding-from-my-boobs” kinda way. And here I must confess that our staff is entirely split on this premise, and some feel that perhaps bras still should actually remain undergarments that actually go…you know, under a garment. However if you know you’re going to have bras peeping out of your tanks or sundresses (whether you mean to or not), consider the gorgeously colorful Matchy Matchy bra straps as a way to do it with a little more...

Pretty leather summer totes, now made in the U.S.A.

It’s no secret that I’ve got an obsession with bags, so when I saw these leather summer totes from CMP fave Ellington (so pretty!) the only question in my mind was which color to get.   I really love that Ellington took their popular classic totes and went back to figure out how they could be made in the U.S.A., which is really something extra special these days. And the colors are amazing. I’m immediately drawn to the turquoise, but the bright red is definitely an eyecatcher. Take a peek at the other more subtle color swatches if you prefer your shades a little more neutral....

The ONE FashionABLE scarf: A cool accessory for a cause, but hurry!

As if I didn’t love FashionABLE enough, they’ve just collaborated with ONE.org to launch their limited edition ONE FashionABLE summer scarf and wow, is it gorgeous. Even better, the profits now help two great charitable organizations. I’m hard-pressed to find an occasion where I don’t have a FashionABLE scarf around my neck or in my tote–and Liz would say the same. Not just because they’re beautiful, like this summer scarf in a luscious Mediterranean blue cotton that demands sunny days, but because they double so well as a wrap, a sizeable blanket for my kids on the go, even an emergency diaper changing table cover....

Trend Alert: 11 fabulous summer handbags in chic neutrals.

This summer we’re going nude–with our handbags, at least. So many great designers are creating sophisticated looks in chic neutrals, and we’re in love. This also means that I don’t have to switch handbags to match my clothes every day, but let’s be honest; when I’m trying to get three kids out the door I’m more likely to leave home with a bag that doesn’t match what I’m wearing at all. That’s about to end, because I’m determined to get at least one of these ten neutral handbags for summertime for myself. So many great choices, where to start? Splurge or steal: Cool ombre scarves for spring and how to wear them

When I saw this Chan Luu ombre scarf on Net-a-Porter I nearly died with envy. I want to eat it it’s so gorgeous. Trend alert: The coolest girls’ floral clothes. And one for boys, too.
