I love jewelry. I don’t love spending money on jewelry that I only wear once and then gets lost in my tangle of necklaces and bracelets. Marbelous, a new collection of artsy handmade necklaces crafted from beautiful shades of clay, will not get lost in the shuffle.

Marbelous is the brainchild of two 9-year-old Brooklyn besties–one of the things we love about this. The girls, who happen to share a birthday, were playing around with some balls of clay on a family vacation and ended up making cool necklaces that looked like funky chic marbles. When their moms were spotted wearing them around Brooklyn and local style mavens started asking where they got them, the girls knew they were onto something.

Marbelous handmade necklaces: Turks and Caicos Collection | Cool Mom Picks

Each necklace is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind with different swirls and hues hanging off an adjustable silk cord. I love the Elephant Gray colorway, which would really complement my earthy clothing palette and a certain boho chic dress I have in mind. The brilliant blue in the Turks and Caicos collection and the warm tones of the Pink Sands necklaces are perfect for summer but honestly, it’s hard to pick.

I also love that the two families use Marbelous to make the world a better place; 10% of the purchase price of each necklace goes charities including Heeling Autism and Every Mother Counts.
