It’s time for my tween daughter’s room to get a decorating refresh, and I’ve got my eye on this this inspiring free “fight hate” printable by Vanessa at Little Gold Pixel as a starting point. Okay, so she may be a little too young for coffee, but making art and fighting hate are definitely her thing. And certainly mine. And okay, so she likes the irreverence of sounding like she drinks coffee.

We have had a lot of discussions about social justice, activism, and the value of peaceful protests as of late, and I think this is the perfect burst of inspiration for her homework station. Especially after reading Vanessa’s impassioned post about her determination to “fight hate with words, with my vote, with my money, with my art.”

Or what I may do, is make a tiny print to hang over my own door, as a reminder that I can be creative, stay energized, and that I’m not alone in my desire to make the world the best one I can for my kids.
