A few years ago I got really ambitious and made birthday crowns for my two children. Flash forward a bit and I’ve now got a third child and still only two birthday crowns. Any guesses where this is going? Yeah.

I’m kind of thinking these pretty, personalized felt crowns over at Chloe in Style would be a perfect stand-in for that last crown.

Pretty, 100% wool felt crowns feature hand-stiching and personalization options that include either an initial or an age.

I prefer the ones with initials to the ones with ages, simply
because they can be used for many years. There’s cotton-encased elastic
at the back of the crown, too, making it suitable for a reappearance at
each birthday.

I’m sure I’ll end up convincing myself to make the third crown.
But don’t be foolish like me. Buy them from the start. And then buy more
when you have more kids.

Trust me, when midnight rolls around on the
night before your child’s first birthday and you’re not sitting on the
living room floor embroidering an initial onto felt, you’ll be glad you
did. -Stephanie

  1. I love the idea of birthday crowns too – still not convinced on whether to buy or make though. I did a round up of options for both here:

  2. There are also great crowns available here:

They started the business as a way to raise money and awareness for the illness their son is battling. Love that their work is amazing and supports a good cause as well.
