We have a bunch of special occasions coming up–Father’s Day, our favorite sitter’s graduation, the grandparents’ anniversary. My eyes have been open to some especially special occasion clothes for the kids. You know–something fancy. Without sauce on it.

CMP highlighted the fabulous Kico Kids a while ago, and their new spring/summer line proves to be the perfect place to find special-occasion kiddie couture.

They have twirly princess dresses, fabulous bolero jackets, and even a two-in-one flower girl dress
(it converts into a cotton shift!), which manage to be sweet,
fashion-forward, and timeless, all at the same time. Plus: comfortable,
made with kid-friendly (ie, soft and non-itchy) fabrics.

The boys’ gear is just as yummy; I’m totally in love with the cotton linen tuxedo yoke long-sleeved shirt and trousers with tuxedo rope piping
High-quality
fabrics and beautiful, detailed design can come with a higher price,
but every once in a while, special occasions provide the excuse to seek
out the extra-special. -Lexi

  1. I love almost everything I see on Cool Mom Picks and I almost always think “wow, I want that!”… but I think my mouth fell open when I saw that a boy’s polo shirt was $105! I don’t even want to know what the girls’ clothes cost! Cute stuff… but I don’t even spend that much on myself, much less my messy baby. 🙂

Yea! I just featured them on my blog.

If you love their stuff as I do, please come over to our little Kico Kids GIVEAWAY, happening right now. 🙂

  3. Agree Liz – it’s noooot cheap stuff. But a great label to have in mind for when you find it on sale. Recently, I found them in a sample sale in NYC for about 80% off retail. Score!
