It’s exciting for us when our favorite design bloggers become new moms (or aunts!) themselves. Because that means more cool products, design, clothing and gorgeous inspiration for parents everywhere. Here, 4 phenomenal design blogs that are starting to feature more mobiles and fewer handcut steel coffee tables with sharp edges. (Ha.)

Design for Minikind: Collette Bream

DESIGN FOR MINIKIND

One of our favorite design bloggers and all around adorable gals, Erin Loechner of Design for Mankind, has announced Design for Minikind.
As well as the pending birth of her first baby. Expect gorgeous
products, clean beautiful photography, and inspiration from around the
globe you can drool over (like this image from Collette Bream, above)–plus more affordable choices. We’re glad to see she’s a fan of Herve Tullet’s Press Here too. She’s going to be one awesome mama.

DESIGN MILK

Design Milk Nursery

With Jamie Derringer of Design Milk making room for a new baby girl,
we’re seeing a lot more posts on her site that moms will love. While she’s not creating a Mothers Milk spin-off site anytime soon, we happened to love this post showcasing
her new nursery. The items range from IKEA furniture to an Alexander Girard FLOR rug and a mobile from CMP fave Frazier+Wing.

OH, JOY!

French paper lanterns on Oh Joy!

Joyce Cho of Oh Joy!
is no stranger to our readers, and now that she has a six month-old
girl (hm, lots of girls for these design bloggers) she’s bringing her
eye to more pretty things for kids. Browse the “mini” category for cute clothes and accessories, decorating ideas, and products like this cool French nursery decor. We can’t get enough of Joy and we’re hoping to see more of her picks for parents.

DESIGN*SPONGE

Nursery inspiration at Design Sponge

While
design*sponge’s Grace Bonney is happy to be “the babysitter” right now (and we bet she’s an awesome one),
contributor Amy Azzarito is becoming an aunt, so she’s been spending
time drooling over cool nursery stuff and fabulous gifts. So we’re giving them honorary mom design blog status, especially because they have a kids’ category worth keeping an eye on for more inspiration to come.  –Liz
