This might be the most exciting thing for my son’s wardrobe since Stella McCartney’s first collection for BabyGap: Splendid Littles, the brand known for comfy chic clothes for babies and toddlers is hopping on the Target train and I couldn’t be happier.

The adorable becomes the affordable on December 26th, when the first Splendid Littles limited edition collection arrives in Target stores and on Target.com. I, for one, will have my plastic at the ready to get in on the sporty striped hoodies, slouchy cargo pants and layered polo shirts in cool shades like heather gray, tomato red and lime green.

The line will also feature bibs, baby blankets, dresses, cardigans. leggings and onesies in sizes newborn to 5T. The best part? Prices start at $6.99. Compare that with their children’s dresses that retail in the $60-70 range.<

I always worry about the quality of the clothing when a big name high-end label does something for the masses. But I’m happy to say after getting my hands on a sample, the cotton/polyester/modal blend has a super-soft, Splendid-like feel.

Now I’m just waiting for Splendid to realize they need to launch a big girls collection for Tar-jay.

Get some after-Christmas bargain shopping in at Target.com on 12/26 with the new Splendid Littles collection.
