When Pantone announced their 2017 color of the year, I admit I wasn’t entirely sold on Greenery, a bright springy, yellowy green that seemed to come out of nowhere. But after reading the backstory, I get it: After a difficult year for so many people, both socially and politically, Greenery is Pantone’s effort to offer a symbol of growth, health, and new beginnings.
That said, I don’t think Greenery is the kind of color that looks great on everyone, the way 2016’s Rose Quartz or 2015’s Mykonos Blue did. And that’s where accessories come in.

Jewelry in Pantone’s Greenery is a great way to spruce up your wardrobe but it’s not all that easy to find; most of the green we’re seeing in jewelry right now is either a traditional deep emerald, or more of a green turquoise.
So we’re here to help!
If you’re looking for a little something special for a New Year’s Eve party, so you can manifest some good health and new beginnings yourself, here are a few baubles we’ve got our eye on. And here’s to a bright, happy new year for all of us.

I really like this delicate, classic peridot Swarovski bracelet I found at Sprig Jewelry on Etsy. Just the right amount of bling to brighten up the drab winter, and I love that I could wear it to dress up a pair of jeans too. Plus, the price is terrific — just $32.
Go big with a bold statement, and snag this Green Collage necklace from Bel Monili on Etsy. All of her pieces are one-of-a-kind and handmade, but she has lots of this vivid green color in her collection. And the beauty of Etsy is that you can always request a custom order!

I’m swooning over Kiki McDonough’s stunning peridot and diamond stud earrings I spotted over at Neiman Marcus for a cool $1,200. For a more affordable version, also take a look at the birthstone stud earrings at Nordstrom, which are beauties too.
