Writing for Cool Mom Picks is pretty much my dream job, and I get to review some truly amazing stuff. I can shout at the top of my lungs about how much I like a product, but the real test is this: Did I go back and buy more? When it comes to Soapwalla Kitchen, the answer is a resounding “Yes, and I’m tracking my shipment hourly.”
Soapwalla is a one-woman, hands-on, super pure line of indulgent bath products by Brooklyn girl Rachel Winard. Her objective? To make the highest quality all-natural bath products available. You can’t really argue with that.
Everything from salts to scrubs to creams is made by hand of natural oils, clays, botanicals, powders, essential oils, and sometimes spices from Rachel’s own kitchen. I can’t imagine a better gift for a new mom. Or a pregnant woman. Or someone with sensitive skin. Or anyone you happen to like, really.
My #1 must-have product is the Soapwalla Deodorant Cream. I’ve been hunting for the perfect non-aluminum, non-propylene glycol, non-stinky-hippy deodorant, and this one lives up to my fondest dreams. Soapwalla’s version feels like frosting, has a light and fresh scent, and lasts all day, even in the humid South, even chasing two kids. At $10 for 2oz., it’s a great deal.
After hoarding the last few precious drops of Soapwalla’s Luxurious Moisturizing Body Oil, I had to order a full-size version of that, too. The lovely, golden oil soaks into skin immediately and makes me smile with a delicious blend of essential oils that smells like cut grass, bamboo, and liquid happiness. It’s springtime in a bottle, people! And it makes a great baby oil, too. Not that I want to share it. ~Delilah
