As a resident of the Deep South, my kids tend to not need a heavy duty coat until mid-winter, which means we’re generally relegated to the plain old sweaters, hoodies, and fleece jackets. But with this year’s trend of jersey knit jackets, we’ve got a bunch of fantastic options that are perfect for us mild weather folks, or those of you just looking for a nice change from itchy wool and sometimes stuffy fleece.

For something slightly more urban, the black moto jacket at Old Navy was a huge hit with our readers when we featured it recently. It pairs well over skinny jeans and sneaks, or with a skirt, chunky knit tights and some fun boots. At $21.50, it’s practically a steal.
