My husband spends his spare time watching Top Chef, reading restaurant reviews and weeding through the artisanal chocolates at our local gourmet markets. So needless to say, a box of red hots isn’t going to cut it for his Valentine’s Day gift. Which is why I breathed a sigh of relief when I found Tasting Table’s Valentine’s Day marketplace.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Tasting Table,
it’s a free daily email that delivers delicious tidbits of culinary
info to adventurous foodie types. Their city editions, which at this
time include New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Chicago and San
Francisco, give the scoop on local food happenings, while the
international version is for anyone with a curious palate and a
Colicchio complex.
Tasting Table’s Valentine’s Day marketplace, which is broken down into helpful price brackets, is chock full of everything from irreverent cookbooks and wild fennel salami samplers to peppery watermelon candies. I only hope my hubby doesn’t notice when his package of goat milk caramels is half missing. –Melissa

Awesome! I just subscribed to their daily e-mail.
Melissa, thanks so much for posting this nice recommendation for our Valentine’s marketplace. We got such great feedback when we did something similar for the winter holidays that we thought we’d repeat it — and the feedback has been even better! So expect more food-lovers gift ideas from us in the future.
All the best
