What is it about orange on children that just makes me feel happy? It’s so springy and bright and optimistic–although of course, I look terrible in it myself. Wah.
I love what one of my favorite small designers, Beth Miles of Ses Petites Mains, is doing with orange by tempering it with a seersucker plaid and some romantic ruffles to turn it into the cutest little dress for girls.
[don’t miss a great discount and awesome giveaway after the jump!]
The Betty Shirtwaist Dress,
like all of the designs, is produced and designed entirely in San
Francisco and made to last. Of course there’s a price to that kind of
workmanship, which means you can buy this one splurgey dress now (or the
bouncy amaryllis dress or the very pretty pink flicka dress or one of the other gorgeous girls spring dresses just out for the season). Or? Hang tight and hope it goes on sale.
In fact, if you love the styles at Ses Petites Mains, make sure to hit the sale section which is featuring loveliness from 2010 for girls from 12m to 14.
As for me I think I need this dress now. Don’t we have a, uh…thing? A thing to go to? That requires a cute orange dress? I’m sure we do. –Liz
