Jacquard is really hot right now (according to all the fashion mags we read at the salon) and it's adorable for girls as well. The texture of this jacquard peplum dress from Zara ($42.90) makes it a little fancy but not fussy.
This silk taffeta girls' dress from J.Crew is everything holiday dreams are made of. And, OK, at $158, these dreams might be a bit on the pricey side--so maybe put this one on Grandma's shopping list? And make sure she wears it to every recital, party and dinner until it's up to her thighs?
Jacadi's polka-dotted corduroy dress is to die for. At $79 it's a bit of a splurge--but it's beautifully made, and in a style that will make it an absolutely gorgeous tunic over leggings or jeans for a few years. After that...hand-me-downs.
