Gift baskets have a bit of a bad reputation. Most of them reek as corporate or impersonal, which are the last things you want your sweetie to think about your gift on Valentine's Day. There's also one of my all-time favorite local Brooklyn treats: the "Wicked" chocolate bar from Jacques Torres which is nearly as good in bar form as it is in hot chocolate form at his DUMBO storefront.
If you've got a Valentine of the non-romantic variety to shop for, check out Bee Happy which is sweetly affordable with, you guessed it, honey and honey-based treats. And I'm cracking up at the I, Um, Like You box (at very top) which I'd love to send to a few single parent friends who I know would love to know someone's thinking about them this time of year.
