I have always had a weakness for stuffed animals and I was thrilled to be able to buy them without judgement again when my daughter was born. When I came across Bunnies By The Bay I was sold instantly on their fabulous little stuffed animals that give back. Not only do they look like the high end ones you might see in FAO Schwartz, but when I found out that they also help orphans around the world? I want to give them all a hug. And a home.

The Red Thread collection of stuffed animals donates 10% of their proceeds to truly transform the lives of orphans around the world through respected organizations like Half the Sky and Worldwide Orphans. That even makes me forgive the hilariously cutesie names of these dolls, like Scruggle Buns, Wee Packy, and Little Friend Bao.

While sometimes we’re reluctant to recommend stuffed animals as baby shower gifts because parents get so many, there’s certainly an exception we could make for these, especially with most prices under $20. I mean, come on–don’t they make you want to recreate the scene in E.T. and just bury yourself in a whole closetful of them?

Shop the stuffed animals from the Red Thread Collection which give back, at Bunnies By The Bay.
