While all the Starbucks gift cards over the years have been pretty cool, I'm person number 65,474 who saw the brand new, limited edition sterling silver Starbucks gift card and immediately knew someone on my list would be needing one. Which is easily why you can't even get one online anymore. But if you do pop into your favorite Starbucks, or hey, even the Starbucks across the street from your favorite Starbucks (that one was for the Christopher Guest fans) you can grab one in person.
And yes, it's real, jewelry-quality 925 sterling silver and comes in that gorgeous pouch. It's a $200 card with $50 worth of Chestnut Praline Lattes or Petite Vanilla Bean Scones loaded on to start. So this is a gift card that even those of us not big on giving gift cards could get behind.
This is seriously the coolest gift for a new mom or dad this holiday--or your favorite sitter, teacher, or BFF. Couple it with the reported Starbucks delivery that's coming next year, and wow. I could see this little Starbucks brand really going somewhere someday.
Of course, you can always stick with any of the 2014 plastic gift card designs and save that $200 for actual food and drinks. Those penguins are still pretty darn cute.
Look for the limited edition sterling silver Starbucks gift card along with other card styles and designs that don't cost $200, at a Starbucks near you. Limit one card per person. It's not valid on anything Pumpkin Spice flavored. (Just kidding.)
Also, starting today through 11/16, from 2-5 (or 6 if you're a Starbucks Rewards Member) you can buy one holiday drink and get one free.
