I’ve always been a fan of Nordstrom. The company pays their employees well, they offer a lot of flexibility to part-time or telecommuting workers (like parents), they’ve lead the way with strong anti-discrimination policies, and they always make the Fortune list of the top 100 companies to work for. Plus, best customer service. (Especially you bra fitters in the White Plains store. Yeah, you!)
And if you’re online…free shipping!
So I thought it was a good day to do a little online window shopping and check out some of the hot new spring shoes I’d love from Nordstrom right now.
A little retail therapy, if you will.
CMP is an rstyle affiliate
I’ve never been a big sneaker wearer when I’m not actually exercising (no comment on how often that is). But when I can find a comfy slip-on that pairs style and function, like these funky studded kicks from Michael Kors that will amp up a casual outfit, I’m all in.
Free People At Ease Loafer Mule
Wait a minute…mules are back? Finally? Yesssss! I absolutely love the convenience of an easy on-easy off shoe like this (also at very top), especially as the weather gets warmer and uh, my pedicure might not quite be up to par. Several cute colors and upper fabrics too, but I’m digging the go-with-anything black leather.
If you knew my shoe wardrobe, you’d know I need desperately to push myself out of the black shoe habit, especially for spring, and these look like a perfect neutral. I will add the caveat that I’d have to try them on and be sure I could walk in them. But I definitely have better luck with chunky stacked heels than with wobbly stilettos (how does Kristen do it anyway?) and they help dress up even a casual skirt or a pair of jeans.
Vince Camuto Elishan Cage Sandal
I always have the most fantastic luck with Vince Camuto shoes — they’re comfortable, they wear well, and they hold up nicely, considering how hard I wear my shoes. Speaking of which, with my favorite medium-heeled cage sandals on their last legs (or heels?) this looks like a gorgeous replacement.
Marc Jacobs Valentine Silver Bootie
Okay, so this one is totally out of the budget right now. But a girl can dream in glittery silver, right? Maybe the shoe fairy will leave some under my pillow one night.
