Hilarious gifts that poke (just a little) fun of foodie culture. | Cool Mom Eats gift guide 2017

Most of us agree that foodies have made the world a better place. After all, where would we be without craft burgers, artisan breads, and those home brews they're always asking us to try? But it's also hard to take seriously our friends who take their eats a little too seriously -- even when those friends are us. Because, yes, that happens too. Often.

So this season we've rounded up the funniest gifts to celebrate -- and ever so lightly roast -- our foodie friends, including ourselves. Because if you can't make fun of yourself foodie-splaining how to make a cortado to the barista, then what's left in the world?

Obscure Brewery Shirt

$19.99

We all have that friend who's convinced that the one microbrewery they visited in rural Colorado back in summer of 2007 served the platonic form of the Belgian triple, never to be replicated by mere mortals. Or hey, maybe that person is you. Either way, this Obscure Brewery shirt is the perfect way to say 'I love you, insufferable snob or no.' ($19.99, Brewer Shirts Etsy shop)

02

Back of the Fridge Magnet

$5

We can't resist this Back of the Fridge magnet from Emily McDowell, who has an uncanny knowledge of the murkier contents of our fridge (stay away from the crisper drawer, Em!). If you have friends who, like us, have convinced themselves that furikake is totally worth the investment and they'll use it again and again (ha!), this magnet belongs in their kitchen. ($5, Emily McDowell Studio)

04

Not Not Pumpkin Spice Candle

$25

Oh, pumpkin spice. The flavor we love to hate and hate to love (and are still sneaking into our lattes even in December, shush). We're not not giving this pumpkin spice candle to everyone who shares our affinity for this #basic beverage. ($25, Betches)

05

Bake It Off Sweatshirt

$40

For those who believe kneading bread is a perfectly healthy mode of expressing anger, I present: the Bake It Off sweatshirt from Miss Jones Baking Co. It comes from the same people who brought us the Bakers Gonna Bake shirt that Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart wore in that Super Bowl commercial, so you know it's cool. ($40, Miss Jones Baking Co.)

07

Gluten-Free Shirt

$12.60

For the record, we fully accept that gluten allergies and intolerance are a real and serious thing for many people. But then there are the other folks who've jumped on the bandwagon to claim that quitting bread has helped them lose 50 pounds, win the lottery, and finally finagle that Harvard acceptance for their kid. Buy them this gluten-free tank so that they can show off their newly chiseled physique. We'll be over here, eating brioche. ($12.60, Cozy Gal)

08

 Kale Mug

$10.98

Some of us are very committed to our leafy greens, and this Kale mug is the perfect way to share that love with the world. Snag one for all of those people in your life who spend more time oiling and massaging their cruciferous veggies than their partner. Kidding. Sort of.  ($10.98, We Are Paper Plane)
