Welcome to our annual editors top 10 of the year! Through the rest of the year, we’ll be sharing 10 of our favorite things (no offense, Oprah) of this past year and we hope you love them too. Of course we love everything we’ve shared, but these things are all extra special to us. – Liz and Kristen
If you’re like us, parenting girls who love sports, you know how hard it can be to find clothes and gear that supports their passions. And while there are a few brands we’ve found that support more traditionally girl-focused sports like gymnastics, figure skating or cheerleading, for girls who swim, run fast, or play baseball or softball, the options are way more limited.
That’s why we instantly fell in love with This Girl Tees. This terrific mom/graphic designer-run Etsy shop out of Ohio features designs that authentically capture girls’ athletic passions, allowing them to celebrate their interests and pride in their achievements and strengths.
Considering two of Kristen’s own girls love playing team sports (field hockey and flag football, to be exact), and some of us even grew up playing soccer, baseball, and running track ourselves, we’re all hoping more companies will take note and find more ways to help give girls the sports gear — and encouragement — they deserve.
