We started a rewards chart with my daughter a month ago, and — although I’m scared to say it out loud — it’s working to keep her in her bed at night. These charts aren’t free, but they are fun. And they could be used for anything you want to motivate your kids to do. I’m going to go ahead and get them for my boys, too, to encourage them to tie their shoes on their own (give me a break, right?) and pack their own backpacks for school.
If you’d rather print a chore chart instead of a simple rewards chart, the designer offers editable versions so you can customize with your own list of chores. (Not every kid has a dog to feed.)

While many of the designs are sorted by “boy chore charts” and “girl chore charts,” and there are some value packs that offer downloads of a few different designs, of course you can choose anything you want for any child at all. Our girls love pirates and construction vehicles; and of course, boys like woodland critters, ice cream, and make-believe fairy tale castles.
Now I guess it’s time for me to start shopping for some rewards for when my daughter finishes her first rewards chart — then starts right back over again toward a new reward.
