There’s a whole lot going on in April: Tax Day, Earth Day, and the first full month of baseball season. And this year, there’s something extra special coming up — the 20th anniversary of Jackie Robinson Day.

One of the reasons it’s so meaningful to wear a 42 on your chest is that it’s the only number that’s been retired across the entire league — not just by an individual team.
