With the holidays are just around the corner, we're so excited to make a huge announcement: We're teaming up with one of our favorite sites, Etsy.com for another awesome contest - a Color-Your-Own Paper Holiday Ornament Design Contest.

We're on the hunt for eight creative, cool paper holiday ornaments that kids can cut and color themselves and then pass out to their schoolmates, hang on their trees, or give away as holiday cards to friends and family. We'll pick our favorites and whip them up into downloadable and printable PDFs for purchase at Etsy's own shop. Along with some other great prizes.

And better yet, 100% of the proceeds will be donated the Housing Works, a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS whose mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain their efforts.

The very important but not too complicated Rules

1. Leave a comment on this post with a link to your designs (flickr, blog, website) by Midnight PST 11/24/10.
2. Email your art as jpg or gif attachments (300 dpi, maximum quality) to: kristen@coolmompicks.com by Midnight PST 11/24/10 with HOLIDAY ORNAMENT in the subject (Mailed entries will be accepted if they are postmarked by midnight 11/24 PST - please email for mailing address)
3. Optional but helpful - also attach entries as a vector-based file or a high resolution bitmap art (see below for details).
4. Your art must meet size and content requirements (see below)
5. These are color-your-own holiday paper ornaments for young kids, so keep it fun and friendly. Keep in mind that festive, seasonal designs will have the widest appeal! And remember, they need to be something kids can cut out and color!
6. Maximum 3 entries per person
7. The winners will solely be determined by the Cool Mom Picks editorial staff based on originality, design, and appropriateness for children.
8. Have fun!
