I fondly remember those goofy frustration pencils with the googly-eyed gnomes at the top, and how you’d spin them between your palms to make the neon hair get all crazy. You know, to unload all the frustration we had pent up in fourth grade.
Artist June Pfaff Daley remembers too, and she’s put together all the supplies you need to make six of them in her Frustration Pencil Art Kits For just $8 they’re a super little gift, or make them yourself and now you’ve got six stocking stuffers. There is even a holiday version just for the season.
See? They work! You haven’t even made them yet and already they’ve alleviated the frustration of shopping for a whole bunch of kids on your list. –Liz

There was a poem that went with the frustration pencils. I have been on a search for that. Poem
Your day has gone wrong
no one understands,
and your mind is ready to pop.
Just rub me between
the palms of your hands —
And I’ll help you to
blow your top.
