In an effort to spend less on disposable birthday party supplies, I’m loving so many of the beautiful crowns and princess hats I keep discovering. The latest: this handmade kids’ wool felt crown from Asheville designer Liz Stiglets of Cozy Blue.
I love the felt applique. I love the elasticized back to help keep it on heads small and not so small. I love that the little matyroshka doll ribbon trim makes it feminine but it’s not pink– because hello, not every girl has to have a pink crown at her party. And I especially love that my kids would play with this party hat every day of the week long after their birthdays have come and gone. –Liz
