Springing for a Kit + Lili dress

Springing for a Kit + Lili dress
Last fall, we couldn't wait for the weather to cool off so that we could dress our girls in the gorgeous Kit + Lili winter line. Now it's May and we're itching to save our pennies so we can get our mitts on their new girls' dresses for spring.

With trademark bright colors and bold prints, plus styles ranging from shoulder-tie sundresses to puff sleeve A-lines, these are the dresses that little girls can live in all summer long. Splurge on one dress and you'll get a whole ton of use out of it depending on whether you pair it with high tops or mary janes -- plus I love how the sturdy cotton fabrics hold up so that my second daughter can take ownership next year.

We love the casual-chic Elsa Dress in pink and cherry shown here, but really it's impossible to narrow it down to just one favorite. And because we're not the only ones enamored with Kit + Lili, head there now. They're already starting to sell out in a few styles and sizes. -Julie

Her newest book, Princess in Black and the Trick or Treating Trouble, comes out just in time for Halloween. We talked with her about it as part of our Q&A author series and asked about a few of her favorite things too.
