I first discovered Fairy Tales Hair Care when our one awesome local kids hair cutter โ the one who didnโt cut my girlsโ bangs on a 45-degree angle with what I imagine to be a rusty butter knife โ insisted that it was the greatest stuff on earth.
Since then, weโve been fans of their natural, organic-packed products like the Leave-On Conditioner which takes care of my youngest daughterโs recurring dreadlock (grrr) and the non-sticky Curly-Q Natural Hair Gel which my girls simply call โGoop.โ
So I was intrigued to learn about Fairy Talesโ Rosemary Repel shampoo and conditioner which uses the proven natural ingredients like rosemary, citronella, tea tree and lavender oils to ward off lice and other insects. Because I donโt know about you, but just typing the word lice here is absolutely making my skin crawl; I canโt even imagine what Iโd do if I were actually faced with them. So I suppose Iโd rather prevent them in the first place. Especially with a product thatโs just so darn nice to use.
The herbal scent is pleasant, natural and not medicinal at all โ it reminds me of the Aveda Rosemary-Mint Shampoo, which I far prefer to shampoos that smell like fruit roll-ups. Plus it leaves your kidsโ hair nice and soft. Not at all what I was expecting from a shampoo with these, uhโฆclaims.
Frankly, Iโd rather just switch over to this for bathtime year round and hope we never need their Lice Good-Bye product at all. Shudder. โLiz
