The most glamorous evening in Hollywood is coming up and I, for one, am happy to use Oscar night as an excuse to get fancy. At least with my cocktails. You can always count on ombre for effortless chic, which is why I love this cocktail from Martha Stewart's Handmade Holiday Crafts book featured at The Perfect Details. The DIY swizzle sticks come from the book, but the helpful folks at The Perfect Details give super easy-to-follow instructions on how to achieve the ombre effect with only two delicious cocktail ingredients.

Champagne Mojitos at Style Me Pretty sound perfect for any party, if you ask me, but especially for feeling fancy while watching the Oscars. If you're having people over, it's worth grabbing gold sanding sugar to use for rimming the glasses and pretty straws for extra, well, prettiness.

While at Style Me Pretty, you should also check out this French Pear Martini (above & top). The recipe was developed for New Year's Eve, which also makes it perfect for Oscar viewing. The other thing that makes it perfect? The combination of St. Germain, Champagne, and vodka. Mmm.

If you like fruity drinks, this simple and elegant Oscar Night Smash at Camille Styles is great. A few carefully selected fruit juices and pear vodka make a simple, easy-to-shake sip that is just as perfect for a night at home cocktail as it is for a party.

These Champagne Chantilly Shooters at Sprinkle Bakes are beyond perfect for an Oscars viewing party. Almost like a red carpet egg nog, this creamy Champagne (or prosecco)-spiked shooter is fun and elegant at the same time. It's a little bit of work, though, so make sure to keep the menu simple with ideas like these easy Oscar party food ideas that Kate found. Because you really shouldn't be spending too much time in the kitchen on the most glamorous night of the year.
