When you’ve got a baby who’s tummy-timing all over the house, it’s nice to have something for her floor exercises that goes beyond a slippity blanket or boring bath towel. The playmats themselves are pricey (around $99), but they’re not too precious, if you know what I mean. This isn’t a playmat you’ll feel like you have to keep stashed away most of the time. In fact, you’re likely to get more use out of this than that blanket from Aunt Grace, which is lovely to look at but won’t hold up to daily wear and tear.
And when the playmat gets dirty (because, it will get dirty), just toss it in the washing machine on the gentle cycle and voila — just like new! Which means these beauties are likely to last far beyond the tummy-time months for the things everyone is actually looking forward to. Summer picnics in the park, anyone?
