I’m 5’11 and while I love my height now, middle school me wasn’t thrilled about the perennial challenge of buying jeans for tall girls. Especially since my parents didn’t want to spend a bundle on jeans that would only last one BTS season at best.
With my willowy nieces now facing the same long-legged shopping problem, I decided to do some digging and find the cutest, most affordable jeans for tall girls to help them out — and any of your own kids, too.
Because #TallGirlProblems are real. But with the XL inseam jeans these stores offer, they don’t have to be.

Zappos
Zappos has seriously stepped up their game since the days they exclusively sold shoes, and man, am I thankful! If you’re searching for jeans for tall girls, the website lets you filter by price, inseam, style…basically anything that helps find the perfect pair, like these Girls’ Levi’s 501 Tapered Tall Jean.
Old Navy
Now that I’m a full-grown woman and my size stays (roughly) the same, I don’t mind shelling out for a great-fitting pair of jeans that’ll last. But for middle school and high school girls? Kids’ sizes change faster than the denim styles themselves, which is pretty darn fast. (RIP flared capris.) I suggest checking out Old Navy’s super affordable section of jeans for tall women, including these Girls’ Original Tall Skinny Jeans which are just $25.

Torrid
If you’re looking for jeans with plus sizes and long and extra-long inseams, Torrid’s got you covered. Their jeans are a little pricier, but you can still stay under $50 if you catch them on sale. I’m particularly digging these Tall Girls’ Boyfriend Jeans for BTS season. Plus if you visit the site right now, there’s a BOGO sale plus 25% off regular prices on tons of items. Go!
Delia’s
For teens or tweens who are still wearing juniors sizes — that means odd numbers instead of even — Delia’s offers affordable denim jeans and jeggings but what’s really special is that you can choose both the size and the inseam length. So basically, the same way men’s pants work. Delia’s selection of jeans for tall girls isn’t as extensive as the larger retailers have, but if your teen just needs a great pair of dark skinny jeans like this Tall Girls’ Olivia Dark Indigo Jean, for a cool $30, look here.
Alloy Apparel
Alloy also sticks to junior’s sizes while offering an entire section of tall girl clothing, meaning long-torsoed teens can finally find shirts and rompers that are long enough, too. Plus, they carry pants with inseams up to 39 inches long (whoa) in cute styles like this Girls’ Tall Avery Bootcut. For teens dreading starting the new school year without a pair of jeans that fits perfectly, that’s a score.
