In keeping with the crazy sock trend that shows no sign of waning, we’re seeing super fun patterns of rain boots for toddlers this year and we love it!
– Now updated to include the new Hunter for Target rain boot collection! –
Yep, it’s officially rain boot season, although it may still look like winter out there for lots of us. And is there anything more irresistible to a toddler than a big, dirty puddle to jump in? And is there anything cuter than a little kid in rain boots up to their knees? We think, no.
So, I’ve tracked down some of the cutest spring rain boots for toddlers, all under $30, all in wild patterns they’ll just adore. Because as cute as those $70 fancy department store rain boots may be…no.
Besides, you should have a little cash leftover to cover any dry cleaning bills. (Due to aforementioned puddles.)

if you want graphic but not too crazy, these graphic rainbow stripe rain boots from Oakiwear ($14.99+, Amazon) look like something straight out of my childhood, with a bright 80s vibe. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that these will bring the sunshine — and rainbows — on cloudy days.
If you can’t beat the rain, just go ahead and embrace it with these Rainy Raccoons rain boots from Lone Cone ($19.95, Amazon). The all-kid friendly design means you can keep on passing these down from brother to sister, even though you could probably afford to just get a new pair each year at this price. And there are so many cute graphic prints, from funny colorful birds, to sea creatures, to emoji-style doodles.
Who can resist cupcakes? Exactly. I can imagine a lot of kids who will be quick to say yes to these cupcake print rain boots from Chillipop ($21, Amazon). With that preppy-chic argyle pattern against a black background, they’re they only time we’d say yes to soggy cupcakes.
It’s raining sharks this season! And our kids aren’t complaining. I really like these Oakiwear shark rain boots for toddlers. ($14.99+, Amazon). Especially those shark-week watching, sea-monster obsessed toddlers.
These floral Kensington Rain Boots ($29.95, London Littles) are pretty enough for Easter Sunday, but practical all rainy spring long. They’re made from natural rubber, and that print is sure to brighten up any grey day, in London or…right here, stateside. They run in sizes T7-Y3, but hurry because some sizes are limited.
For an edgier take on floral prints, check out Western Chief Kids’ limited edition Garden Gala rain boots for toddlers and children ($27, Zappos). The brand’s boots always hold up really well through many, many puddle jumps, and that black background is so chic.
I’m loving these fun Lone Cone Intergalicti-cat rain boots for toddlers ($19.95, Amazon) so much. Perfect for any kid who likes space. Or cats. Or space cats. Of which the universe has many.
We haven’t gotten over the mermaid craze yet, and we know a few preschoolers who wouldn’t be above throwing a total fit for these Oakiwear mermaid rain boots ($14.99+, Amazon) either. Another fun option: the Lone Cone mermaid rain boots pattern Too many choices!
If it’s going to be raining, we might as well keep our eyes out for our favorite mythical creatures in these Lone Cone unicorns and rainbows rain boots for toddlers and kids ($19.95, Amazon). How happy are they? And how happy are we with this price?
