Welcome to our annual editors top 10 of the year! Through the rest of the year, we’ll be sharing 10 of our favorite things (no offense, Oprah) of this past year and we hope you love them too. Of course we love everything we’ve shared, but these things are all extra special to us. – Liz and Kristen
We’ve seen lots of amazing Harry Potter gifts over the years, but we both agree that the Harry Potter Collection at Pottery Barn is pretty brilliant. From nursery items to big kids decor, the collection is cool and sophisticated, whether you know your Gryffindors from your Hufflepuffs…or not quite yet.
What we especially love are the clever ways the designers have inflused Harry Potter-ness into such diverse products: Bluetooth speakers, throw pillows, Christmas stockings, even crib mobiles and toddler rocking horses (or uh, rocking buckbeaks).
While we’re often skeptical of licensed products because they rarely live up to what’s special about the original property, in this case, we’re cheering for the smart ways a beloved kids’ book-turned-movie-turned-mega-franchise has come to life in tasteful ways that feel true to JK Rowling’s magical world.
