Kaboost Makes My Heart Go Kaboom

Okay so maybe we’re the last shopping blog to cover the new KABOOST chair booster. What can I say – we’re picky and it looked a little too good to be true. I had to try it out for myself.

Holy heck is this thing brilliant. I’m torn between being absolutely in love with the KABOOST, and blindingly jealous that I didn’t come up with it myself. So what is it? Basically an attractive plastic X-shaped thingie that goes under a chair to raise it up to the table for little kids. High chair graduates are going to love sitting on the grown-up seats, and parents will like not dealing with phone books, pillows or ugly booster seats in the dining room.
It’s quite thoughtfully designed, including rubber grips on the bottom and spring-loaded extensions to accommodate pretty much whatever chair you’ve got. Yes, it’s sturdy (my first concern). Plus it’s lightweight and relatively compact, making it dandy for travel.
They’re just under $40 so I’m thinking get two and leave one at grandma’s. Or leave one at the local diner. It’s certainly an improvement over those restaurant booster seats coated with French fry residue from 2004. –Liz
Congrats to Kaboost winner Katie K!
