While we’re busy putting the finishing touches on our 2020 Mother’s Day Gift Guide, I had to share this terrific deal that I just caught wind of. One of my favorite flower delivery sites, The Bouqs, is offering double-sized Mother’s Day bouquets for the price of the singles when you preorder now.
Psst…they don’t even really have to be for Mother’s Day.
I’m seeing some bouquets (ooh, hydrangeas and lilies!) available for shipping as early as April 21 depending on your shipping zip code, though you will have to wait until early May if you’ve got your heart set on roses.
The catch though: You have to order by April 20, 2020 to get the deal. I say, grab it now.
– UPDATE 2023: This offer is currently not available, however you can order bouquet subscriptions for 25% off for a limited time. If any new offers pop up, we’ll update here. –
If you haven’t ordered from Bouqs a zillion times already like I have, one of my favorite aspects is that they source directly from farms with eco-friendly practices. So basically you’re supporting a small biz, supporting other small businesses, and getting something beautiful in the process. You can even see who’s growing your flowers, from Farmer Lane in California, to Farmer Juanita in Columbia.
The selection is fantastic too — ranunculuses, lilies, roses, peonies, tulips, irises, you name it. And yes they really do look like the photos! Imagine that.

If you want to do something a little more special for Mom or Grandma this year, you know we’re big fans of subscription gifts which keeps on giving.
I highly recommend the monthly flower subscriptions. In fact, I bought one as a gift for myself this month, for a much-needed little pick-me-up. I selected a box of four tiny, beautifully potted succulents to help perk up my depressing windowsill (thanks Farmer Meredith, from Florida!) and starting next month, I’ll have some happy little surprise bouquets to look forward to in the mail.
I do like that there’s a “happiness guarantee” if something goes wrong, and that you do have the option to edit each bouquet in your subscription. Should they ever suggest carnations for me. No offense to those of you who like carnations but hey…ranunculuses!
