What’s a chocolate-nut spread without the nuts? Chocolate No-Nut Butter is what. It’s real and according to reviews it’s delicious, too. The catch is that this spread made by Missy Chase Lapine, better known as The Sneaky Chef (and by me as the queen of nut free snacks), is not widely available yet. Missy’s Kickstarter campaign to launch her Chocolate No-Nut Butter spread just got funded with 42 hours to go–fantastic news, because we’re already dying to see it on shelves.
It’s been a couple of years since The Sneaky Chef released a cookbook and now we know why. Missy has launched a Sneaky Chef food line with pasta sauces and her signature No-Nut Butter. Now she wants to expand the line to include a safe, allergy-free alternative to Nutella and other chocolate-nut spreads.
Always one to live up to her name, Missy makes her no-nut butters with a super sneaky ingredient: golden peas. Amazing, right?! Apparently, they are so naturally sweet and nutty that, once mixed with cocoa, her no-nut butter only needs half the sugar of the leading chocolate spreads. Fans claim that this stuff is remarkably like peanut butter and without the aftertaste of soy butter.
Low in sugar, all natural, and nut-, peanut-, soy-, gluten-, and dairy-free? This stuff is a dreamy, creamy spread for allergy-free eaters or any kid who brings lunch to an allergy-free school.
