Whenever Hillary Lang posts photos of her crafty creations on her blog, Wee Wonderfuls, I sigh and try to imagine what it must be like to have that kind of talent. Mending a sock or sewing on a button, I can handle. Anything more complex gets outsourced.
But now that Hillary is selling patterns through the Wee Wonderfuls online boutique for her most popular stuffed animal creations, I’m ready to take a sewing class. The pattern includes detailed instructions for producing one of three original dolls: pointy-eared Kitty, shy smiling Bunny, or wide-eyed Bear.
Outfit your animal creation in a funky outfit and shoes and you’ve got a heartfelt baby shower gift, or birthday present for the young (or young at heart) in your family. That does it: I’m off to register right now for a sewing class so I can create my very own bunny. And I will love him and hug him and squeeze him and call him George. –Nancy
