Who doesnโ€™t love those high-quality, family heirloom baby clothes that were skillfully hand-made by Great-Great-Grandmama after which they were preserved and passed down through the generations? Wait, whatโ€™s that? You donโ€™t have any of those? Well then, good thing youโ€™re about to discover Nanny Gram, a wonderful source for traditional hand-knit baby togs.

Updated: Sadly this shop has gone out of business since first publishing this post in 2007.

The Heirloom Crochet Layette is my favoriteโ€“itโ€™s not only lovely but also extremely well made. Plus each Nanny Gram comes beautifully packaged, perfect for giving, and ships within 48 hours thanks to a whole team of knitters standing by, just waiting for your order, needles at the ready. Your own great-great-granddaughter neednโ€™t know that you didnโ€™t rock those knitting needles yourself. โ€“Tina

How can I get the pattern for the little grey heirloom sweater?

      1. It’s not a pattern, it’s a sweater for sale.

  2. This is why I donโ€™t follow blogs…..1. They donโ€™t advise where to purchase the pattern, or 2. They seldom even have the courtesy to respond. Such a waste of our time ?

    1. Totally agree….so frustrating and disrespectful.

  3. I too would like the pattern please.

  4. Where can I find this pattern please. A new grand baby on the way! Thanks

    1. This pattern is very similar to a pattern called quick oats,(which is knit with chunky wool), but I have done it with same amount of Stitch’s, DK wool and 4.m needles worked out 0 to 3month size

  5. If you know they dont reply why bother asking for pattern details.?

    It’s not a pattern they’re selling, it’s an actual sweater. – Eds

  6. Seeking this pattern

  7. Where do I get this pattern please?

There is no pattern that we know of — this was a shop a long time ago that made and sold this sweater directly. – Eds

  8. This adorable little sweater is an upscale version of the classic 5 hour baby sweater. Search the web and you will find the pattern!
