We’ve gotten our fair share of baby lotions and bath products from Little Twig as gifts and I must say, they’re often the ones I reach for first. I love the adorable packaging, but even more so I love the pthalate-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free products inside which are consistently excellent across the line.  So of course I had high expectations for their new SPF 30+ Mineral Sunscreen for children.

The first sign that I was going to like this sunscreen was the scent, which is light and not chemical-y, probably because it’s actually not chemical-y. It goes on really nicely too – it claims to be non-greasy and yep, that would be the case. But mostly, it does what it’s supposed to do; my kids were out all day in in the sun wearing it this weekend and no one came home the least bit red.

At $20 a tube, Little Twig mineral sunscreen is definitely priced higher than the sunscreen choices on the average drugstore shelf. But if you’re worried about the stuff you put on your kids, particularly the little ones, it’s a fantastic option. Plus there are a few other benefits, like Little Twig’s nice recycling program — return 4 full-size bottles and get 30% off your next online purchase. On top of that everything you buy from Little Twig this entire year helps to benefit EveryChild Foundation, a fantastically philanthropic group of women.

In other words, it’s nice to know their sunscreen is helping out children besides my own. –Liz
