Is it wrong that I’m still a little obsessed with Hello Kitty? If it were up to me, I’d still wear those HK barrettes I had from the third grade. But, alas, I’m a grown-up now (ish).
Well, this holiday season, I’m going to indulge myself in full-on Hello Kitty nostalgia as Sanrio celebrates its 50th anniversary. In honor of the big 5-0, Hello Kitty and her friends will be traveling around the country in a trailer festooned with graphics of all the Sanrio characters from over the years, including my other fave, Keroppi Keroppi.
Small Gift, the mobile pop-up tour, starts tomorrow, October
23rd in San Francisco and will be offering up 50 adorable collectibles
that will have every Sanrio junkie beside themselves with excitement.
Expect 49 pop-up tour exclusives such as tote bags, lunch boxes and coin
purses with all the characters together. (The 50th item will only be
available at Target, Sanrio’s partner in the tour.) Plus there will be photo ops, games and
contests aplenty. If you can’t make it to the party, log on to Target tomorrow for six of the limited edition tour bus
goodies. –Melissa
