Jackie O wore a size 11. Julia Child wore a 12. Me? Well, I am somewhere in-between the two. Yes, I’ll say it, I have big feet.

I spent many years trying to hide my long and narrows, then eventually I began to accept my fate. But when not a single shoe store carries your size what can you do?  Enter Tess.

Tess, a woman in Baltimore with the same affliction, took
matters into her own…uh, feet? Teaming up with her mother, she created Barefoot Tess, which sells stylish footwear to ladies like me.

You’ll find larger sizes from designers like Corso Como, Dolce Vita,
and Bernardo, plus Tess’ own line, BFT.  I am loving some of their top sellers, like the Zurich boot (shown) which goes up to a size 15, and
the suede Bordeaux heel. The red is so MadMen.

Sorry teeny-footed friends. These shoe are all ours. –Stephanie M

  1. know anyone that specializes in wide widths? I don’t need the long sizes, but I’d love some better choices for stocky feet!
