Ever since Zara started selling online this fall, I’ve been stalking their site for European styled clothing for my kids at great prices. But recently, I popped into one of their NYC stores just to make sure the clothes were as awesome as they look online.
The truth is, as with some of the lower-priced kids lines, it can be a
little hit or miss–some of the tees for example, have necklines so
tight that they’re useless. Still, about 90% of what I saw there was a
hit. And we found a fall jacket for my daughter that’s so fabulous, I
couldn’t wait to share it.
The children’s
double breasted coat is garnering my 4 year-old compliments
everywhere we go. It comes in navy and a beautiful red, but it’s the grey that really caught my eye. The fabric is a toasty wool-acryllic
blend, but it’s so soft it’s almost fleecy. And because it’s lined, it’s
the perfect fall weight for those chilly days when the snow isn’t quite
here yet. Pretty sweet for under $60.
They run a bit big, but we just roll up the sleeves. I’m hoping this one
gets us through 2012 too. –Liz
