Recently we introduced you to the wonderful Martha Stewart American Made Awards which is offering crafters and other small business owners a chance to win $10,000 to support their dreams. Well, we are just thrilled to find out that some of our very own readers and featured shops are among the finalists in the Audience Choice Awards!
Ashley McCally of Lilly and Gus makes
beautiful plush products made from upcycled fabrics from denim to wool.
We’re so glad to hear she found out about the contest from Cool Mom
Picks!
Becky App of eCreamery has created a great business selling personalized ice cream pints that we’ve loved for ages. They’ve been featured in so many of our gift guides we’re losing count.
Mila Viljoen of Pop and Lolli makes really special wall decals that we discovered last year. They’re really like nothing else. How great is that pirate ship?
We’re so happy to discover our reader Erica Hager of Bison Booties who makes the most adorable handmade cotton booties for babies and toddlers. We could use some in our size, hint.
Katherine McMillan of Pierrepont Hicks makes gorgeous ties that we’ve been recommending as awesome dad gifts for the last two years, plus new accessories, baby gifts, and home goods. This is the kind of stuff you’ll see in Barney’s any day now.
Jamie Knoll of Java + Co also learned about the contest from us (yay!) and we’re dying to try any one of her chef-inspired small batch coffee treats, from biscotti and syrups to body scrub.
Stephanie Richter at Anna and Blu Paperie creates lovely personalized note cards, printables, party supplies and stationery that definitely makes us want to step it up at our next soiree.
Of
course pretty much all of the 100 finalists make things we drool over,
and we want to support them all. So click over, vote for your favorites
once a day through September 24 and help an entrepreneur out. And good
luck to all you small business owners! You inspire us every day.
