Spring party season is back, and if you’ve noticed fewer guests reaching for alcohol, you’re not imagining it. Younger generations are drinking significantly less than older ones did—and honestly, a lot of us are perfectly happy with that shift. The good news? Non-alcoholic canned drinks have leveled up in a big way. We’re not talking about sad seltzers or overly sweet soda alternatives. Today’s options are sophisticated, refreshing, and genuinely fun to serve. Think crisp flavors, chic cans, and drinks that feel festive without the next-day regret. Perfect for backyard gatherings, brunches, and those long spring evenings when everyone just wants something cold and good.
We’ve tried some great ones, and we’ve tried some that taste like cough syrup–but worse. So, with that in mind, here are our five favorite non-alcoholic canned drinks to serve at your spring get-togethers.
TAZO Passionfruit Tea Concentrate + Spindrift Blood Orange
Hear me out: My favorite DIY drink for spring is a twist on the “fruit tea” that’s a cult-classic here in Nashville. TAZO’s delicious Passionfruit Tea Concentrate is meant to be mixed with water for a refreshing, fruity black tea drink. However, I prefer to use Spindrift Blood Orange Tangerine sparkling water rather than water. It’s bright, bubbly, fruity, and not-too-sweet. (If it’s cold/flu season, I’ll add a Tablespoon or so of local elderberry syrup.) Make a pitcher full for a party as a punch-alternative. You guys, it’s delicious. You have to try it.
Hiyo Organic Social Tonic
I got a chance to try the Hiyo Organic Social Tonic tropical flavors multi-pack, and they are yummy! My personal favorites are the Strawberry Guava and Peach Mango. The flavor isn’t overwhelming, but it’s a stronger juice flavor than what you’d get in a LaCroix or Spindrift. It’s “crafted with organic adaptogens, nootropics, and botanicals,” to give you a relaxed feel without the alcohol.
Recess Zero Proof Craft Mocktails
A friend of mine loves Recess Mood drinks so much that she bought them to our annual Christmas “favorite things” party this year. But FYI: the Mood drinks are meant to relax you (with magnesium included, which promotes sleep), so maybe not great for parties. However, their craft mocktails variety would be perfect for backyard parties this spring! Their alcohol-free cosmos, margaritas, mojitos, Moscow mules and more are low-calorie and hangover-free. Yay!
Lyre’s Amalfi Spritz
We’ve been Lyre’s fans for a good five years. Lyre’s is an award-winning company, with non-alcoholic “spirits” that look, taste, and smell like the real deal. Their Lyre’s Ready to Drink line of ready-made canned cocktails with classic flavors like gin & tonic, the iconic Spritz, and a crisp, dry Classico. You won’t regret trying these at your next party.
Kung Fu Milk Tea or Boba Tea
Our last, but certainly not least, recommendation is fun boba tea or milk tea drinks in a can! Kung Fun Milk Tea has delicious brown sugar and Thai milk tea flavors that are a really nice alternative to soda or alcohol. For a good Boba tea option, try Popping Jacky. They have several great flavors, but we recommend the Lychee for the authentic Asian flavor.
