But let’s talk details: Target’s back-to-school section strikes a nice balance between practical and fun. The notebooks, folders, and planners are cute without looking like they’ll be embarrassing by October, and there are plenty of budget-friendly basics alongside trendier finds.
Of course, you need the pencils, folders, and Kleenex on your teacher’s supply list, but we have found some other must-haves Target too. One unexpected favorite? Dry erase boards. They’re perfect for homework, of course, but they’re also great for meal planning, family reminders, grocery lists, or letting kids doodle while you’re making dinner.
