Though I’ve saved that first tooth, first snip of hair, and various other “firsts” from the early years with my three kids, the memories are scattered in various books, boxes, and envelopes tucked away in drawers and closets for, you know, safekeeping. In other words, ask me to tell you what my son’s first real sentence was, and uh, I know I wrote it down somewhere. Really, I did.
So that may be the reason I’m so smitten by Moulin Roty’s Les Papoum Souvenir Box, which insures that all those “firsts” and special memories stay collected in one pretty place, besides my sometimes forgetful brain. Sure it’s made of cardboard, but this Souvenir Box is 10,000 times cuter than a shoebox.

Designed to look like a large hardcover book that can sit atop of a dresser or tucked neatly into a bookshelf, Moulin Roty’s Souvenir Box opens to reveal a dozen sturdy drawers, each labeled for a different special item or memory: a favorite lullaby, a first birthday candle, a baby spoon. There is even a larger drawer for their first tiny slippers and baby bib.
Plus there’s a compartment for more general “treasures,” like the knit hat Grandma made that they wore home from the hospital or, perhaps, the funniest piece of advice you got about life with a newborn. You definitely don’t want to forget that.
You’ll find Moulin Roty’s Les Papoum Souvenir Box at Bonjour Petit. If the current stock sells out, check back soon — there are more on the way!
Very cute!!! I have a big notebook where i write all “firsts” (including the first date after birth i could fit into my jeans)… But the notebook has no storage place for hair or tooth, the Souvenir Box is a brilliant idea!
Such a cute idea! This would make an awesome baby shower gift too! Everyone give memory books, but nobody gives something like this!
