I had no idea how much I’ve been taking the fact that there are not one, but two IKEAs within driving distance of me for granted. Poor, poor Heather, the creative talent behind Skinny laMinx, who was so despondent over the fact that none existed in her homeland of South Africa that she actually designed an I wish we had IKEA tea towel.

Her loss is everyone else’s gain, because these towels are amazingly cool.

The natural-toned 100% cotton loose weave fabric is covered in burnt orange sketches of the various vowel-impaired home goods. It is as cute as it is clever, and I would pair it with her vintage-style mugs towel in blueberry to create a funky look in my already colorful kitchen.

They’re $12.50 a piece and the shipping costs are minimal ($3.50) considering they’re coming all the way from South Africa. Frankly anything that can make drying pots and dishes a little more enjoyable is totally worth it.–Betsy

Pick up your I wish we had an IKEA tea towel, and check out the other fabulous designs, at Skinny laMinx.

I bought 2 tea towels and a pillow cover from her last year. I love them! If it isn’t enough to get these great items, they are packaged in a lovely natural ribbon with card. I highly recommend her!
