I love small things. I do. Crazy about little things. So when HP offered up the new HP Mini 210 and the utterly adorable HP V5040u Camcorder to review, we leaped at the chance to see if they were as fabulous as they looked.
The answer: Yes!
The purse-sized HP Mini 210 is drool-worthy in colors including Preppy Pink and Pacific Blue. This is the perfect PC for moms on the go like me, small enough that you can pop it into an average sized purse or even your diaper bag. (Just keep away from leaky sippy cups!) It only weighs 2.9 pounds which is sweet.
With the internal wifi, you can log on anywhere you go–even the playground–and you can easily do video chatting with family at home or friends far away through the built-in camera.
I found the HP Mini 201 runs beautifully, easily running several programs at once. Trust me, I’m the type of girl that has Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr all open at once. I like the zippy processor, and the quick start program that lets you access your email and a handful of other things without launching Windows. It has plenty of available memory though you can opt for more, along with some other options like an external optical hard drive for all those pictures you never get around to actually printing.
In a smart twist, HP has paired the mini with the best little video camera in the world, the V5040u Camcorder. This little High Definition camera absolutely rocks. It literally fits in your pocket and comes with a fantastic fold-out 2.5 inch LCD monitor which, frankly, is huge by tiny video camera standards.
The camera also takes still shots, making it the only camera you need if you’re not too serious a photographer. The still cam works better in situations when there’s plenty of light, but it still a step up from the quality of pics on most smartphones.
I love that the buttons and settings are all intuitive and easy to navigate, so much so that you can be shooting video within minutes of taking this little beauty out of the box.
Hey, maybe I’ll take a video of me working on my new Mini netbook at the Blogher conference this weekend. I’m sure that would be hot on youtube in no time. –Cecily

Congrats to winner ____ who won the Mobile Mom package – an HP Mini 210 and a V5040u Camcorder
That camcorder would have come in really handy last year when we took my son to the zoo for the first time. I would have loved to capture his reaction when he saw elephants for the first time. Thanks for the giveaway.
I really wish I had had a camcorder when I visited my daughter just after she gave birth to my grandson. It would have been wonderful to have those initial moments with him captured on video for us to watch again later. You can’t get those moments back. I would love to win these two items!
I really wish we were able to capture on video my daughter’s first birthday – specifically when everyone was singing happy birthday to her. She just loved it and she had this big smile on her face the whole time!
I really wish we had had a family photo the moment my daughter was born….it was a rough time though, after a long labor and an unexpected c-section, my husband was a little too shaken and weary to attempt to hold a camera, but I wish we had thought to ask one of the nurses to snap a picture for us.
I wish I had gotten my oldest daughters first steps on camera. We didn’t even think about it until months later.
The HP Mimi is great! Perfect for todays on the go moms.
The one moment that I wish we had captured on an HP camcorder was of my 3 daughters meeting their baby brother for the first time. All 3 had cried happy tears on the night that my husband and I told them that they would now all be big sisters. They read to him, sang to him and talked to him everyday before he arrived. I wish I could have captured the joy in their eyes when they were finally able to put a face to the name we called him for so many months – Tater Boy. To witness the love that I felt for all of them reflected in the way that the girls looked at him is something that I can see behind my eyes, but I would have loved to have been able to share it, particularly with my son. I can tell and retell the story in a million words, but if we had the ability to show him this moment mere words would prove insufficient.
I really wish I had the first moments after my son was born on video. Hope I win so I can start now (at 5.5 months)!
We took our 2 year-old son to the National Train Museum last month and I wish I could have his reaction on video. We never saw him so excited!. When we got to the glass doors that led to a huge room of trains he just started jumping up and down saying, “wow, big trains! wow, big trains.” It would have been great to have that moment on video.
What a great giveaway! There are so many moments I would love to capture on video. I think it would be when my daughter first saw her newborn baby brother. It was such a sweet moment and one I wish I had on video.
That would be today my 5 year olds first day of kindergarten. Her daddy was helping get her ready for school. It was a sweet moment.

We found the neatest watering hole but forgot to bring our big camera. It was beautiful and breathtaking! Something small and compact like this would have been so convenient!!
absolutely love the mini 210!!!! Very cool and very functional!
My son was born 12 weeks early and spent 76 days in the NICU. I wish we would have some of those early moments on film!
I wish I had this for the birth of both of my boys. Small, portable, high quality, and digital.
A moment in time that was important was my son’s wedding and rehearsal dinner.
there are many like first times walking or just the kids playing with the puppies
I wish i could have captured my 2 boys meeting their sister for the first time. it was magical…and only a memory…
I wish I had captured my 3 year old sitting along side her cousins on a picnic table eating watermelon and spitting seeds at our family reunion this summer. A classic summer rite of passage!
What a great contest! My brother and I live on opposite sides of the country, and only get our families together about once a year. I wish I’d had a camcorder for our last get-together, when my kids and his kids were all interacting, playing, talking, singing, laughing, etc.
Our son who is 2.5 yrs old is going through a phase now where he mimics everything that his dad does so there have been many moments recently when I wish I could just whip out a camcorder to record their interaction, e.g. dancing, doing push-ups, reading, etc…And sounds like this HP camcorder will be perfect for such moments.
I would have loved to capture my son’s first real smile with an HP camcorder. It was a moment I’ll never forget – my heart melted! (And then I could have shared it with all the extended family members who would not have dared say, “It might be gas…” Ha!)
Wish I could have captured my 2YO daughter singing happy birthday to my mom (her Nana) spontaneously while we were all on vacation earlier this month.
I really wish I could have captured the moment my son, 11 months, bit my husband. My husband was holding our son and he bit my hubby’s shoulder with a lot of force. He left bite marks. After he bit, our son “petted” my husband’s face, as to say ‘remember how much you love me!’
I really regret not having a video camera to capture the moment when our daughter walked for the first time the day after her dad returned from two months away at training. It was precious!
i wish we had captured my younger son when he would throw himself over the top stair and then slide on his belly down the stairs. he was a pro.
Way better than the flip…screen size is sweet!
I really wish I had my daughter’s first steps on video. We were at a church function and she just took off. No one had a camera, but at least I had lots of witnesses!
I wish I recorded the first time my daughter saw balloons. Her eyes got so big and she pionted and said oooo. SO cute!
I wish I recorded the first time my daughter saw balloons. Her eyes got so big and she pionted and said oooo. SO cute!
Wow–I wish I’d captured a lot more of those first year moments on video for my twins–that whole first year is a blur. One thing I’d love to have on video is their first encounter with grass–those darling wiggling toes and surprised expressions. Thanks!
Wish we could have caught the very first time our 2-month old spied his 6-mo old cousin, aunt and uncle via Skype. It is amazing to realize that our kids will be afforded simple modes of instantaneously connecting across hundreds of miles in a blink of an eye! Technology rocks. :0)
I really wished I had captured two occasions… The birth of my daughter and those first moments and days in the hospital. And her 1st birthday party.
Cheers,
Raquel
I wish we had video of our son crawling. He was such a cute and speedy baby but seemed to move past that stage so quickly and we don’t have any video of it! We need that camcorder!
I really wished I would have captured the “AFTER” after my son was born, our families meeting him, welcoming him into our little world, and the first time he crawled.
I wish that I had caught my daughter’s baptism on HP camcorder – she is our first child, my parents’ first grandbaby, and this was such a special moment for all of us.
I wish that I caught my daughter’s first steps on the HP camera! So tentative, but now she’s unstoppable!
I wish I would have had a video camera on my big brother when he held his first niece on the day my oldest daughter was born. Sadly, he deployed for Afghanistan 3 months later and didn’t return home…
There are so many precious moments that I wished I’d caught on camera – but I had to tell myself in those moments that at least I was present! Being a working mom is so tough, so capturing my son on video that I can watch while taking a break during the day provides me with sweet serenity – and pure joy! I wish I had caught him mimicking the monkeys at the zoo this past weekend – it was hilarious! Thanks for the opportunity to win this computer and camera — good luck to all that comment.
My son is only seven weeks old but I already wish we’d had a camcorder in the hospital to capture his first moments of life!
I would have loved to have this camcorder the other day at the pool to capture the my son’s expression every time he jumps in the water.
My mom often tells me that the day she met my daughter(now 9 months old) was one of the most gratifying days of her life. She said the look on my face when she came into my hospital room to meet Trudi was “life fulfilling”…the proud look of a new mother on my face when I introduced her to Trudi. Now, she tells me, I know exactly what she meant for 40 years when she told me that one day I would understand a “mother’s love”.
I really wish I would have captured the day-to-day little things on the HP camcorder. Those are the things you love but forget to record and then you are so bummed later you didn’t. Thanks, Maureen (jnomaxx at hotmail dot com)
My flip video petered out on me at thee worst possible time….I have a great niece, 22 months old and great nephew, 3 months old, that really needs recorded. The interaction between the two is comical! Parents and grand parents of these two knuckle heads cannot afford to buy a video camera and for that matter neither can I!
Thanks!
I wish I’d captured pretty much anything that I’m now capturing on my phone – the quality would be so much better!
Great review! I have not yet moved to a mini and am encouraged by your thoughts. It is more of the silly little moments that I wished I had captured on video. The ordinary moments that become our fondest memories.
I wish I could have had my youngest son crawling for the first time on video. I also wish I could have video of his response to his older brother making him laugh last night. He adores his big brother and makes the funniest noises when he is laughing.
I wish I would have captured the moments my two older daughters met their new baby sister. As it is, the baby’s first pics are “phone pics” because my trusty little Canon Elph decided to *die* at the hospital!
The birth of my first child. I would give anything to see that moment again.
This would be perfect for our family as I’m going back to school for nursing right now and there are times I need to sneak away from the chaos to study!!
The camera would be great for recording my little man at swim lessons! One of the things that no matter how busy we get, we still do special activities like swimming for the boys!
the one moment I wish I had on recording was my 9 month old saying hi to her Omi (great-grandmother) for the first time and giving her snuggles and kisses. It was precious and since omi is 90 years old I wish I had that. I want to capture every second they are together so that when she is bigger I can show her videos of her omi so she knows how much she loved her and how cool she was….
I wish I had captured my 2 year-old son telling me out of the blue, “mommy and daddy love me”. Makes parenting totally worth it.
My daughter used to say the Pledge of Allegiance with all of the wrong words. It was too cute, yet so sincere.
Wish we would have had this to capture the first hug b/w my 2 year old and her Uncle Andy when he returned from deployment in Afghanistan. We rehearsed “welcome home Uncle Andy” for so long, and even though it was 2:30am she nailed it!!!
We finally put the old camcorder to its eternal rest, being that the technology had changed so much in the last 13 years. Now it’s time for DD to get her first laptop or netbook!
About a month ago, my daughter celebrated her birthday. We threw her a party and used a Sony camcorder to capture her smiling as everyone sang happy birthday to her, making a mess of her cake, and feeding her older brother cake from her finger. Then, less than 2 weeks later we went to the beach and took the same camcorder. We were packing up our things to leave when I felt a raindrop. Before we knew it, we were completely soaked by heavy rain. The camcorder–which was in my bag got–wet and no longer works. Her birthday party and everything else is lost. I went to Sony’s website to try and get the camcorder repaired but the site can’t find the product. We only had the camera about 3 months for the sole purpose of capturing our daughter’s early years. I would definitely use the new camera to do just that and I would take every precaution when using it.
I would have loved to get pictures of my son rolling over for the first few times.
I would have loved to capture my 9 year old daughter’s pride when she pulled her first batch of “perfect” cookies out of the oven and carefully handed one to each of us. How precious to capture that smile when everyone loved them.
Wouldn’t have thought before this that I’d want to catch my son’s first “poops” in the potty, but the look on his face afterwards was truly priceless! Wide-eyed SHOCK of what he had done. Frozen, speechless, a little panicked looking as he stood next to the potty looking in. It took a few minutes to convince him it was a great thing–and normal–and his happy arm flapping celebration dance sealed the achievement. Of course, I was at the grocery store when it happened, so this is actually the story of it from my husband…now you see why I wish I had a video even more?
I really wish I had captured my son’s first birthday party, his first steps, his birth, the first time he said mommma…the list goes on and on!
I wish we had filmed the girls’ faces when they met their baby brother for the first time. They were so great with him.
I wish I had caught my daughter playing in the pool this weekend. She would run to jump into the pool but would stop short and then step in.
I would love to have recorded the birth of my daughter. Those first moments are so precious!
I really wish I had captured my daughter’s birth on video camera.
One of my babies took his first step (just one so far) this week.
The favorite family moment I wish I had a camcorder for was the day mom son learned to read..It was a magical triumph for me as a mom and for him as a child
I wish that I’d had a video camera when I first adopted my daughter from Guatemala. She was 22 months old and didn’t know English. I wish I had video of the few words she was saying in Spanish. It was absolutely adorable.
We haven’t captured the births of our children-three of them!
I wish my parents had a camcorder when I was a child. My father passed away when I was 6 and my brother was 4 so it would have been nice to have captured ballet, piano recitals, etc. on video so at least I have that memory of my father. I have MVP now and she’s 7 months old.. I would like to win and capture all her “super” moments on video. She’s going to walk soon and that would be great to have.
I wish I would have had the tools necessary to have
captured both of our sons baptism! My brother was a Godfather to both of them and now he is gone…..
Many thanks, Cindi
I wish we had video of my daughter splashing in the puddles for the first time.
I would really love to get images of my daughter with all of her grandparents. She does not get to see them often and it would be special for her to look back at those images some day.
I wish I had been able to capture the moment we told my mom that she was going to be a grandmother. She had been hinting, asking, prodding for several years, and we told her when she least expected it, so her surprise and delight were priceless. Perhaps we’ll be lucky enough to capture the moment whenever we have another baby — someday.
Last night at dinner when my 3 year old daughter was earnestly explaining why she was not talking to me. She has the most adorable way of speaking that I will miss as soon as she grows out of it.
I would love to have recorded my 4 year old daughter when she picked up her brother’s hula hoops (all 4 of them) and shockingly just started hula hooping and kept them all going. She’s a hula hoop prodigy! Who knew?!
I really wish we had a camcorder in the room right after my daughter was born – we actually didn’t even have the camera (she came realllly fast & we didn’t have time to grab anything on the way in!). Obviously we got pics about 30 minutes after she was born because my hubby went out to the car, but I wish we could have recorded her 1st cry and 1st few moments of life!
This would be perfect for catching those sibling moments you need to be reminded of when they are screaming at each other…
Yesterday my just over 2 yr old spontaneously started singing ‘Jesus Loves Me’ while we were in the car. She’s just starting to sing with something close to a melody, and it was SOOO sweet to hear her singing to herself back there.
She yelled at me when I tried to join in tho. Go figure. 😉 that part would have been cute to catch on video, too.
The family moment I wish I had captured on the HP camcorder would have been this one night that my son was getting very excited because he was about to beat one of the video games he plays and called me in his room to watch him. My baby girl was already really sleepy but I didn’t have time to go lay with her then make it back to my sons room in time for the finale..so I scooped up his little sister and we went to my sons room to watch him play…i was standing next to her and she was next to the bed. After about 20 minutes my son was still battling it out on the game and I looked down to see what my girl was thinking and my heart just melted! She had fallen asleep standing straight up ..her neck all bent on the bed…it was the most adorable thing 🙂 ….i didn’t even think to at least get a still shot because when I saw her like that I just thought to pick her up
I wish we had it when my son was born. We had ours along, but it stopped working. Such a special moment missed because of it. Thanks for the chance!

I wish I had captured the first time my older daughter met the baby in the hospital on video.
I wish I had video of my oldest’s first birthday =(
I wish I had the HP camera to film my 2 month old daughter enjoying the lights and sounds of Times Square while we wait for her mom who is at a Blogher party. Heck, I could have used the netbook on the free WiFi here too!
I wish I had recorded the first time my sons, 4 and 2, had some soda. I’d never seen their faces pucker so much. Neither finished what was in their cups.
I wish I had the camcorder when my daughter was born. Those precious moments captured in a camcorder would be priceless.
Wish we would have had the first moment our son saw his new baby brother recorded–it’s moments like this you never get to experience twice!
Wish we would have had the first moment our son saw his new baby brother recorded–it’s moments like this you never get to experience twice!
I wish I’d had it just a minute ago as my son directed his barnyard animal toys in their daily duties.
I wish I had a video of my daughter with her cousin. My BIL is stationed in Japan, so moments of getting the girls together are rare. We have pictures, but capturing them laughing together would have been wonderful.
have missed so many milestones – my little boy walking, saying his first word, his first bite of baby food, his first tooth

I would have loved a camcorder last Halloween when my five year old son, who takes costumes very seriously, dressed up as a Jedi. All during the parade he held his lightsaber very seriously and looked for Darth Vaders. At the very end of the parade, a Darh Vader, just his size, came walking down the hill. They both looked at each other and ran towards each other for an epic, yet very respectful, battle.
I wish we had the HP camcorder to capture the first time my daughter crawled forward.
I wish I had a video camera when my 6-month old spit her first taste of squash onto my husband!
This would have been ideal last night when my 4 year old was jumping off the diving board in nothing but water wings.
I really wish we would’ve had an HP camcorder to capture my 5 year riding her bike without training wheels for the first time.
It would have to be when my 3yo son whispered to me what daddy had bought me for last Christmas but that it’s a secret. That moment was priceless because he was so serious. He even told me that it’s a secret and not to tell anyone! LOL
Our son Giuseppe has taken to picking up our cat Stella and walking around with her on his shoulder… we have to capture that before Stella grows wary and learns to run away when he comes toddling over!
My daughters’ great-grandmother (hubby’s grandma) just passed away this Spring. She adored babies and our two daughters brought her tremendous joy during her battle with cancer. Our oldest, who is 3, will certainly remember her. Our youngest (less than a year when she died) won’t ever get the chance to enjoy her. I wish I’d gotten footage of their great grandmother playing with them.
I wish I had had a video camera when my son scored his first touchdown… and not because of the touchdown but because of the look on his face. It was priceless and I will never forget that moment, but I sure wish I had it on camera.
If I had a reliable (and oh so portable) video camera, I would have captured all the sweet moments my boys have shared this summer. From spraying each other with the water hose, to the baby’s first movie theater experience. They share a special bond and I’m afraid I need to get it on video tape so that I can play it back when Big Bro turns 13 and no longer likes Little Bro. 😉
We weren’t allowed to film during the birth, but even so, I wish I had a video of the first moment I heard my baby cry.
where do i start? so many moments i wish i could have captured with a camcorder. first birthday, first steps, first words, our car ride from NJ to LA!
My daughter is only 3 and i can still capture so many other “first” moments she will experience in her life. if i won, it would be so much easier! lol!
thank you for such a generous giveaway!
xoxo

I wish I’d had a camcorder when my 6 year old’s class at school did a music performance.
While I tend to be camera happy (there WAS a reason I went to school for radio, tv and film – right?), the moment(s) I do wish I had caught on film were early on in my relationship with my husband. For some reason there are not many pictures or video. Darn early 90s.
@
I would have loved to get a video of my youngest daughter’s first jump off the diving board and her proud smile afterwards.
i would have loved to capture my daughter’s first steps.
I wish we had video of our wedding on the beach, the birth of our daughter, her first steps, her 1st B-day, 2nd B-day…the list goes on and on!
I would have loved to have captured on film the first time our newborn baby peed all over his daddy. The look on my husband’s face was priceless!
I wish I would have captured my son’s first steps and his first Christmas.
I would have loved to have had a video camera when my kids were born.
The little moments, their first haircut, them dancing to music we play after a long day, the bbq sauce after eating their first wings, and the laughing…I know I’m going to miss this giggling one day! (I have two year old twins!)
The one moment that I wish I could have captured was when I threw my mom a surprize 50th birthday- just one year before her brother died.
My uncle was never the type to sit for pictures, but I know that if I had a camcorder on hand; I could have caught some really special moments with both of them together.
My mother and uncle were the only two survivers from my grandmother. They were poor and most of the kids died from starvation. My mother and uncle managed to live through that time in their lives. We don’t have many pictures of my uncle and sometimes, I just wish I could go back to that day because he was so happy; seeing his baby sister happy the way that she was….
Thanks for the chance to win! This would be such an amazing gift to myself and my family.
I wish I had a camera to capture the baby’s first reaction to a food he didn’t like!
Just to capture the magic of everyday life with a toddler, baby, 2 dogs, and a cat!
I’d love to capture the moment my child started to walk independently. Thanks for the cool giveaway!
I wish I had captured our daughter’s very brief moments with my father-in-law before he passed away when she was 4 months old. She’ll never have the chance to know him, and I wish I could have given her some memento of the very little time she spent with him.
Gosh, I know this will sound cliche, but our son’s birth … at least from the moment he entered the world, would be wonderful to look back on. And then there are all those other precious first moments over the last six years … how have we not had a camcorder?!?!
I wish I had caught my daughter saying I love you to her grandparents when they last visited. They live far away and that was a precious moment..
Some great bathtime moments!
I wish I had a camcorder when my daughter was small. I would have loved to have her little laugh on camera. I wish I had her learning to walk on video as well.
We participated in the Run/Walk for Epilepsy in July in honor of our son, Colby. Neither my husband or I had a camera with us. I wish we had. It was a very cool event for a very good cause.
I wish I would have captured my daughter eating her cupcake on her first birthday. She wasn’t sure what to do with the cupcake and she looked like she latched on to it like she does when I’m bf her. It was so funny.
when our daughter, whom we adopted, walked for the first time…it was an amazing happy minute and her grandparents were present, so it would have been great to capture
I wish I had video footage of my father, who passed away before my daughters were born. I can share stories about their grandpa Steve with my daughters, but I wish I could show them how silly, handsome, and caring he was.
I really wish I would have captured the excitement of my 3 year sons first visit to Hawaii. He was so excited to see the Volcanoes he could hardly sleep on the plane!
I would love to capture my 2nds 1st day of kindergarten!!
I would’ve just loved to catch my daughter’s first steps on video. Still photos just don’t capture the cuteness, especially with family that’s on the other side of the country.
Wish I had a video of my son singing a song he is making up as I type this! : )
I wish we’d gotten video of my daughter’s preschool graduation extravaganza. We have good pictures, but the video from our phones stinks.
I wish we would have had the camera in the delivery room for my second son’s birth. We took pictures but my dad accidentally erased them when he was messing with the camera. It still makes me feel sick to my stomach thinking about it. We should have had a backup 🙁
My 2 year old son, Mason, has Down syndrome. He is a typical 2 year old boy who loves Elmo, books, dancing and his older brother. We have been waiting and waiting for Mason to walk. The average age for a child with Down syndrome to walk is 2… so of course I just assumed he would walk on his 2 year old birthday. But that day came and went and Mason still crawled. A month or so laterr, Mason was slowly getting more comfortable walking when one day out of the blue he stood up. From the floor. All by himself. And he started walking!! Sure, it was only a step or two, but it was a HUGE breakthrough. HUGE! We all clapped and cheered. I sure wish I had caught that on camera!!
I really wish we’d had the camera to record when our oldest son met his little brother—he came running in and said, “Hi! I love you!”
We’ve got #3 on the way and don’t want to miss it!
There are so many big moments I would love to have had recorded but even more so the small ones. Popsicles in the Summer heat, both kids in the bath, when they randomly hug or hold hands… They’re 1 and 3 and they do movie worthy things every day!
I would have loved something that small to capture my youngest reactions to seeing all the characters at Disney, he practically knocked them over with hugs:)
So many moments lately that I wish I had a camcorder for! My little 16 month old “talking” her head off pretending to talk on the phone would probably top the list right now. 🙂 It’s too cute!!!
I would have loved to had this camera to record my 2 year old little girl the other day. She had lined up all her stuffed animals and was pretending they were all having icecream. So sweet.
I really wish I could have captured our oldest son’s reaction to finding out we’re having another baby… his response to us telling him “isn’t one ‘Mason’ enough” (referring to his his younger — somewhat energetic and strong willed — brother LOL).
I wish I had a camcorder when my special needs kiddo read for the first time. The look of pride on his face was priceless. I have tears just writing about it!
I really i wish i had the video from when my daughter first laughed. it was adorable and something quick and handy would have captured it perfectly.
Thanks
I really wish we would’ve had an HP camcorder to capture my 6th baby meet her siblings for the 1st time.
I wish I had had this camera to record my 3 1/2-year old’s reaction when we FINALLY brought her little brother home from the NICU–as if it wasn’t heart breaking enough to have to leave my fragile new baby at the hospital, my preschooler couldn’t visit mommy or baby in the hospital because of swine flu outbreaks in the county. The pure love and delight she expressed when she got to hold baby while finally sitting on mommy’s lap was priceless. A moment my husband and I will never forget!
Oh, this would be so nice! especially the part where I don’t have to drag my giant laptop around with me and break my back. 🙂
I would have loved to have had that camcorder for my sons kindergarten cowboy show, he just loves to sing and capturing it on a video would have made such a difference from regular camera shots. 🙂
I wish I would have had an HP camcorder to capture more of the small (but special) day-to-day moments in my girls’ lives.
I wish I had taken more videos of my Dad before he passed on. To hear his voice once again would be so bittersweet. 🙂
p.s. I’m heading back to college at 42 years old. I’m thinking a mini notebook could really come in handy. 🙂
My son is a breath holder, and since he was 4 months old has had a tendency to pass out when he gets upset or hurt, I have yet to manage to get it on video, and it’s def one I would like for the records.
This camcorder would have come in handy when the kids and went to see my husband graduate from the Army. They weren’t even born when he graduated from the Marines. So it was awesome for us to get to share the moment with them.
One family moment that I really wish I had captured on an HP camcorder would have to be when my six year old son, Spencer, learned to swim underwater. Spencer had been working for months learning to swim, but couldn’t quite get the courage to put his face in. Finally one day while swimming with his father in the family pool he held his father’s hand and actually put his head underwater. The look on Spencer’s face was priceless. He was so proud of himself. His father and I were equally happy for him. It was a big big day for Spencer!
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to win such an awesome product! I think this would be great to keep in my purse to catch every growing moment of my son’s never boring life! 🙂
By the way, he is swimming like a fish now!
I really wish I would have had an HP Camcorder to capture my fiancé seeing our, at the time, four month old daughter for the first time when he got off the airplane. It would have been nice to show our daughter down the road such a loving moment that made up for him not being able to be there for her birth.
I had been in the shower and came out to my surprise to find my 3 and 4 year old making breakfast on the kitchen floor! My oldest who was 10 was suppose to keep an eye on things while I had a 5 min shower lol. They had the floor covered in 18 eggs and a costco size bottle of syrup! It was a mess but thinking back it was hilarious and would have loved to get their response when I said “Oh wow what have you done?!” My youngest said “mommy we made you scrambled eggys” and my middle son says” ya mom, we made tried to make you breakfast” I could hardly be mad I should have known better then to try to shower and leave big brother in charge lol. Would have loved to had that to look at and laugh over the years 🙂
I really wish I had caught the first time my big boy met his new brother. It was a precious moment that I will hold on to forever.
I don’t have one particular moment, but many – all the little things that we didn’t capture on video that I want to remember – when he first started walking, when he first started talking – talking to himself now (he has the sweetest little voice). I would love to be able to record all these things!
What a great giveaway…so many great moments to capture, but I would really have loved to capture my son jumping in the pool for the first time by himself.
The first time that my son met his baby sister would have been a great moment to capture. Alas, no camera. Maybe someday I’ll have one…
I wish we had the camcorder to video my oldest child with her grandparents, who have now passed away. I know it’s difficult to keep accurate and rich memories only in my head.
I really wish I had a HP camcorder when I announced that I was pregnant to my husband. My “not-so-emotional” hubby shed a tear and my Labradors jumped on our laps. We have been trying to get pregnant for five years and were told that there was no way we could get pregnant “naturally”. So when we did get pregnant w/out intervention, it was a shock and I surprised my husband with a positive pregnancy test on our coffee table. It was a beautiful evening 🙂
I wish we had a camera for the first time my husband came home from working across the country for 6 weeks. My oldest Gabriel was just over 1 and wasn’t talking- when he saw him he toddled over for the first time and just held onto his daddy for about 5 minutes straight. Another is when we brought his little brother home. He asked to see his friend (his brother) and to hold him. I can’t figure out why we don’t have one yet, with all the memories we’re wanting to capture!
We just put both kids in the bike trailer for the first time to go on a family bike ride. I had dragged out my DSLR, but sure enough, had forgotten to put a memory card in before leaving the house. So no pics of that family first. 🙁 Tiny cameras make life so much easier!
Being a working mom, I have missed out on a lot of “firsts” so a camera to follow her would have been amazing. The moment I wish I could have recorded was my daughter’s first birthday, when, instead of blowing out the candle, she took her fingers and extinguished it that way…the look on her face was priceless! Thanks.
I wished that I had a video of the first time that my husband’s Mom saw our second baby daughter.
I missed it! I missed my son’s first steps, and it would have been wonderful to get them on tape..I am grateful, however, that my husband decided not to go on his annual guys’ weekend that very weekend- or he would have missed it completely. Whew. Thanks!
I wish I would have had the camera to catch my daughters first word. A ball rolled in front of her and she said very clearly “ball” and then picked it up and held it out to me. I couldn’t get anyone to believe she said it because of course she would not say it again. It was sooo cute! Pick me.
Our family vacation in June for my sister’s wedding. Would love to have captured so many precious moments of my 3 kids with their grandparents, aunt and cousin.
Wish we had gotten our 17 month son on video at his first swimlesson and when he first jumped off the side of the pool into my arms. 🙁
would have been wonderful to have at the birth of my grandson, but would be great to capture all these wonderful moments we are watching now and the moments yet to come
I’d love something small and portable to be able to capture all the little every day moments that seem to fly by so quickly. My daughter “tap dancing” in her new shoes, my son playing secret agent, the way the run to Daddy when he gets home from work almost tackling him to the ground, when they say their prayers at night and choose someone unexpected for an extra prayer, the out of the blue “I love you Mommy” and big bear hugs complete with a growl. The list goes on and on.
I wish I’d captured all the fun summer memories my kids have had this year, swimming at the lake, playing at the park, leaving for grandma and granpas house!!!
I really wish I’d captured the first time my daughter sang her ABC’s and the first time she eye’d a “funny face” pancake on vacation 🙂
Wish I had captured our daughter’s first giggle, so I could share it with her father!
This would have been awesome to capture my daughter’s first day of kindergarten. My son was starting his first grade year, so he decided that he needed to take her by the hand and escort her to her classroom on the first day…the best part of it was that when they got to her classroom, he let go of her hand and gently pushed her in…and then kept walking!! It was classic, and SUCH a sweet moment. 🙂
I wish we had recorded my infant son meeting and spending time with his great grandparents. They all had a ball, and I’d love for my son to have that on tape.
I really wish we had captured my son’s baptism. Events like those only happen once in a lifetime.
The family moment I wish I would have captured was my kids singing their favorite song, while we were driving in the car. It still makes me laugh thinking about my 3 year old singing/yelling the lyrics to Dynamite.
My husband was giving my daughter(9months at the time)a bath. I wasnt home. He calls me to tell me that she just said da-da. I didnt believe him. He put her on speaker phone and of course she wouldnt say it. He says I wish that I had recorded it so you would believe me. My son was there and he heard her say it as well. She did end up saying it once I got home.
As the mother of twin toddlers, there are MANY times where an HP camcorder would’ve come in handy. I have lots of moments that I wish I had captured, but right now, the one that comes to mind is this: One of the girls had fallen and scraped her knee. While I was in the bathroom getting the “first aid” supplies, I overheard her sister saying “Don’t cry, Sissy” (they sometimes call each other “Sissy”). I peeked around the corner to see her kiss her sister’s cheek. Then she began to gently pat her back while saying “It’s OK, Sissy…Mommy will make it better”. It truly was a beautiful moment 🙂
I wish we could have video taped our 2nd son’s delivery but I had an emergency C-Section so they wouldn’t let us tape it. It’s a bummer that we don’t have that special moment on video 🙁
We had our family reunion in Puerto Rico a few summer’s ago. The camcorder would have definitely come in handy then. It would also come in handy in December when my first Niece is born.
I really wish I would have had an HP camcorder to record the first meeting of my daughter and her new baby brother!
I would of LOVED to have this when my daughter was born! I wish my hubby would of stood up & taken pics of her being delivered…we had an emergency c-section so he probably wasn’t even thinking or prepared! Then my SIL had taken a video of how alert my daughter was after being born & wheeling through to the nursery & visitors…I had asked for the short video clip & she said she lost her camera! 🙁 I had been asking over & over & nothing! Soooo very sad!
I wish I would’ve had a camera when a friend and I took our kids to the zoo and they fed the goats for the first time, road the train and played in the water an elephant statue was spraying. They had such a great time and were so happy!
I wish we had this for the birth of my daughter. I went into labor 2 weeks early. We had plans to go shopping for a video camera the day I went into labor so we have no video of her birth, very sad :0(
I wish we had these growing up! I look back on all the times with my parents and sometimes wish I could pop in a dvd and watch it all again!
I never take enough photos of my kids at their uncle and aunt’s farm, especially the first time they got to see the big machinery and all the animals.
I am due with my first in January 2011, and will have to go back to work 8 weeks after that; so, I would love for my Mom to be able to capture EVERY moment for me!!!!
I wish I had a video of my son with his great-grandmother Naomi. It was so wonderful to see them together — he was just a toddler when they met, sitting on her lap, looking up at her so sweetly. Sadly, he only got to see her once before she passed away.
The one moment I wish I could’ve recently captured on video was of my 7 year old son and 2 year old daughter, singing “Hey Jude” by The Beatles, while my husband played the piano.
Too many moments were missed especially with family in far away New Zealand- it would have been wonderful to capture them and send them on so they could watch the kids growing up- that is why this would be so great for now too 🙂
I wish I had some video of my daughter signing when she was little. She caught onto it really well, but now that’s she’s such a talker, she doesn’t use her sign language much anymore! I wish I had caught it on tape.
I wish we could have captured some of the moments while my son was in the hospital. He was there for the first three months of his life. Not all the family could go back to see him in his room. So it would have been great to share the videos with them. And now that he is older it would be wonderful to get even some of his daily routine things on film that are so cute. And we are expecting another little bundle of joy in December so it would be wonderful to be able to capture the first moments after birth and then all the moments after we bring the baby home!
I wish we had one when my son met his baby sister for the first time. He’s so enamored w/ her!
I wish I would have had it for my oldest child’s first trip to the beach. We had camcorders for my other two kids.
We are going on a road trip to Nebraska in a few months. These would really help us document our daughter’s first meeting with her grandparents!
My son is just learning to walk this month and I have yet to get on any video. It would be execlent to get it on a good camcorder as aposed to my camera/video recorder.
My girls first day of school.
These are must haves with all the moving around we do and traveling! Very portable and easy to use with all the great applications and websites to print and display!
Family moment would be the birth of our 4th, 1st boy and how excited his sisters were the moment was precious.
I follow you and hp on twitter
I wish I could have captured the moments when my parents and my husband’s parents first saw their grandchild. 🙂 Those moments were priceless!
I wish I had the HP camcorder during the birth of my daughter. We took tons of photos after she was born, but being that it was my first pregnancy I was too nervous to have someone recording, I didn’t want any distractions. Now looking back, I really wish I had recorded that moment.
The moment I would have loved to catch on camera would have been what I deemed the “gorgeous” bath moment. My son was really into Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. And he was also into his anatomy, if you know what I mean;-) I watched in amazement as he looked down and said, “Well, helllloooooooo, gorgeous pee-pee!” Such confidence at such a young age. I am sure his wife will love to here that one day.
Great combination!!
I wish we had more bath pictures and videos!! My babe loves some bathtime!
My 22 month old daughter is quite the dancer. She can really shake it!! 🙂 Every time she dances my husband and I remark that we need to capture it on video… we are sure her future husband and children would appreciate it!!! 🙂
Today was my son’s first day of kindergarten – it would have been great to have a video to remember it!
Yeah this is mean but I really wish I could have captured the moment when my husband thought it would be fun to hang my young son upside down (playing of course) after he ate….
You guessed it – hanging upside down he puked all over my husband. He didn’t think it was funny but I couldn’t pick myself up off the floor I was laughing so hard!
Would have loved to capture the memory of my son this past spring when he was 2.5 and we were out to dinner and he was a complete ham with the waiter. “Thank you VERRRRRRY much!” was uttered every time the waiter brought something out to us. My son was so darn cute and had the waiters and even the owner of the restaurant laughing. Life is full of moments like these and wouldn’t it be great to always be camcorder-ready!??
Wow what an amazing giveaway!!!
There are so many moments that i wish i would have had this camcorder!
For starters, We saved for a long time to take our boys to disney world. Last year we finally did it, and the best part was we didnt tell the kids. We woke them up bright and early and did this huge surprise for them! It was amazing and we THOUGHT we had it all on video. They were shocked and i was brought to tears of joy. The trip went amazing and we also caught on tape, the kids feeding dolphins which is something we never thought wed get to do. Fast forward–we got home and went to show the extended family our video and the tape was BLANK. Nothing recorded! Something went wrong with the camcorder we had and it didnt record a thing. I was heartbroken and tried contacted the companies and havent gotten anything resolved. So that is the moment i wish i had a HP camcorder! I would have been able to capture and watch some of the amazing memories that are now lost.
The mini laptop looks amazing too! My desktop died a year ago and i havent had the funds to get a laptop yet!
Thank you for hosting this..amazing giveaway!!!!!
I would’ve loved a video of my perfect little embryos being transferred into my womb.
It would have been nice to have a camcorder to capture my son’s excitement the first time he went #2 in the potty 🙂
I wish I could record everyday of my little ones lives, but since I have to pick one it would be when my son started to call his sister by her real name.
I would have loved to capture more memories of my Dad. He died so young when my twins were only 1 and I would love for them to have more videos of him!
I really wish we had a video camera at the end of June when my now 15 month old son took his first steps. We live more than 5 hours away from all our family and it would have been nice to share those memories with them.
Oh my this would be amazing to win. I am pretty good at taking pictures of my son, but we have an old vidoe camera which takes tapes and I don’t think i have taken it out since he was a baby. What moment would i tape?? There are so many. He loes to act out being a dinosaur, and play fighting with my husband. It would be so great to have it on tape, recorded to show his kids one day.
Please pick me, Thanks for another awesome contest!
Barbara
I wish I had a camcorder when my grandmother was alive, she would tell be stories from when she was growing up and sing songs.
Oh this camera would be perfect for capturing my 1 year old son & 6 year old daughter as they run to the door and jump up and down every night & yell “Daddy’s home, Daddy’s home” when he arrives home from work. They always give him big hugs and I wonder when they will stop doing it as it is always the highlight of my evenings.
would have loved a camcorder to catch my son’s reaction as he reached into the bag of dog food, put a piece in his mouth and quickly spit it out! the look on his face as he tried to rub his tongue clean of any trace of kibble was priceless! [is it bad that i sat there and laughed?]
I wish I had an HP camcorder to record the moments when my 3 year old son plays with his little 7 month old brother. Sometimes they “wrestle” each other and the amount of laughter and giggling that comes from the two of them is enough to make anybody’s day. They will truly be the best of buddies and I’m sure there are going to more special moments to come as they grow up!

I wish we had video of our older (4 and 2 yo) girls gardening – they’re growing watermelons and sugar snaps!
I just gave birth to my third child (daughter) on July 22nd. I wish I had an HP camcorder when my older children (son, 4yrs; daughter, 2 yrs.) came to visit me and their littlest sister at the hospital. It would have been wonderful to have captured the moment they laid eyes on the newest member of our family.
We live in Seattle where it doesn’t snow much, but last winter there was an insane snow dump. Streets closed down and all the neighborhood kids took to the streets with sleds, skis, and anything else they could ride down a hill on. I wish I would have captured that scene on video.
I wish we had captured on camcorder the moments right after birth when my child was first brought to me.
I wish I had video of us actually coming home from the hospital with our boys. Super cool giveaway!
I wish that we had been able to capture our son’s first plane ride on video camera. He was only 4 or 5 months old at the time, but he started giggling almost uncontrollably during take off, like it was the greatest thing ever. We’ve been on the plane a few times since and never gotten the same reaction.
any time my children laugh together – it’s my favorite sound in the world
My husband and I were enjoying a rare opportunity for some adult conversation during a car ride one day while a box of raisins occupied my 2 yr old daughter in the back seat. I was nearly remembering pre-mom conversation skills when my daughter piped in from the back seat, “Mama, do we put raisins in our bottoms??” I whipped my head around to see what she was doing and responded vehemently, “No! We do NOT!” My tone registered surprise on her face as I watched her remove the raisin from deep within the leg of her shorts and pop it into her mouth!! Yuck!
I would have loved to capture the first meeting between my toddler and my new baby.
NYC recently had an art exhibit of pianos across the city. Anyone could just come up and play them. When we went to see the one at the Harlem Meer (a beautiful lake at the top of Central Park) there was a man who was obviously a professional pianist playing with his 2 year old son sitting beside him. The man encouraged our 2 y.o daughter to come up and ‘play beside him, too. Suddenly a mezzo soprano shows up and stats singing and swaying as they play. It was an amazing only-in-New-York moment. And we missed it b/c we only have our point and shoot to record videos and there wasn’t enough battery. 🙁 My husband is still devastated.
I wish I had video of the first time my daughter met her little brother!
It would have been nice to catch the sprinkler fun that my kids have been having the last few weeks with the high temps.
i would love to have a camcorder on hand to capture all the lovely moments of my one-year old… there are far too many to name.
This would have been great to capture when my 5 year old daughter hit a coach pitched ball in her championship baseball game this past spring.
I wish I had the HP camcorder to have captured my 20 month old’s reaction opening a gift at my baby shower. She wanted to help open the gifts for her baby brother and she opened one that was a stuffed caterpillar and she just squealed and hugged it. I’ve never seen her so excited! It’ll was too cute.
Thanks for the giveaway!!
I really wish I could have captured the swim in the lake that my husband, daughter and I all took this last weekend. The light was beautiful and we were all having a wonderful time.
So many moments seem to slip by. I am constantly wishing for an easy way to capture them. Most recently I wished I had captured my daughter on stage at Drama Camp — she was so funny and at ease and looked so joyful. As a mother it was a joy to watch and I wish I could see it over and over and over. . .
Capturing our eight month old, Annabel’s, reaction when stepping into her baby pool for the first time would have been fun. The water was a little cool and she hesitated at first, but she quickly overcame the initial chill and was splish splashing in no time.
I would have loved to have my sons first birthday recorded!
I would have loved to record one of the little shows my kids put on for me in our living room. They love to pretend that they are a rock band — so hilarious!
I wish I had had the video camera at my son’s preschool graduation, or at my children’s births, or when Santa first comes, and a million other times.
One of the family moments I wish I had captured on a HP Camcorder would have to be our 19 month old daughter feeding nearly an entire box of Goldfish Crackers, one by one, to our 125-lb Newfoundland dog. It was absolutely adorable hearing our daughter’s non stop giggling and saying “Mmmmm yummmyyy doggie” as our giant dog gingerly took each small Goldfish from our daughter’s tiny fingers.
There are many. Especially the first real belly laughs from my daughter. She was so funny, I had tears running down my face from laughing so hard with her. I love the memories but don’t have a video recorder. She is all grown up at eight years old now and I would love to go back and watch those moments.
My four kids ages 4-9 decided to put on a play for me one day and I so wish I had captured it on video. The 9 year old wrote and directed the play, the 7 year old put together costumes and they all acted. It was a precious moment to see them all working together. Although the play will never be on broadway it is by far my favorite.
So many family moments I wish I would have remembered to catch on film. My oldest is 22 this year and his sister will be three this September. Between his first steps so long ago and her first steps 2 years ago, I wish I could have brought his childhood more to life for her. We didn’t have money for extras when he was younger and have few pictures and video of him, but would love to take pictures and vidoe of her. Thanks for this great opportunity.
I wish I would have captured my younger daughter calling my older daughter “Goose.” I call both girls “Silly Goose” – probably too much – and when my younger daughter was first learning words, she really thought her sister’s name was Goose! I wish I would have gotten that on video.
Thank you so much for this contest! It would be great to have the computer for long outings in the car w my 3 year old!
Oh man this would be awesome. I never win stuff like this but I would love this! I have a four year old and a 18 month old and it would be great to shoot video of them in their natural habitat – aka the park !
This is a tough call. I wish we had had a video camera to record the moments following the births of our two sons.
The camcorder would have come in handy when my 2 yr old was performing his own choreographed dance to Beethoven’s 9th.
I really wish I had more of my kids’ belly laughs on video. Like when they first start REALLY laughing and its the most joyous sound you’ve ever heard!!

I wish we had captured our two year old giving his new baby brother a kiss and a bottle soon after we came home from the hospital.
I would have loved to capture the moment when my son met his baby sister for the first time.
I wish we would have had a video camera at my daughter’s preschool graduation, to capture what she said what she wants to be when she grows up…. A food passer out at a local grocery store!
I wish I had captured our recent vacation. I’d like us all to be able to relive the sweet way my daughter and her cousins played together.
I would love a HP camcorder to record everyday life.
My mom just passsed away, and I now realize we do not have very many pictures of her. A camcorder could be used to capture those everyday moments, so our future generations can see what our life is like.
I take a picture a week and make an album, but wouldn’t it be great to make a video once a week about your life and family?
The most recent family moment I wish I could of captured was my husbands face when I told him I was pregnant. It was so sweet and special and I wish I could of kept that memory forever!
I most assuredly be when we gave my son his first taste of food. He looked so shocked!
My video moment that I missed was when I took my 2 1/2 year old to DisneyWorld and when she met the princesses at Cinderella’s Castle. She was so funny, just shoveling the buttered pasta into her mouth while the princesses were trying to talk to her. I have pictures, but they just don’t do it justice.
Being a first-time mommy to be, I would LOVE to have an HP camcorder to record my upcoming home birth in October. I can’t wait to see baby’s face for the first time, and to capture that moment would be absolutely priceless!
The birth of my son. Not the actual birth – but seeing his grandparents expressions the first time they saw him and held him. Priceless.
There are so many moments of my childrens’ life that I wish I would have caught on video. They grow up so fast it’s hard remember when they didn’t run through the house at 20 mph.
Last summer I surprised her with a trip to Disneyland but since we arrived at night she didn’t know we were staying right across from the park. I would have love to have it on video as we crossed the street and she realized where we were going…
We don’t like near my parents, and so I’d love to capture moments with my daughter and her grandparents, when they do get to see each other. She thrives in their company, and is a different person, and it would be great to be able to look back at those times.
I have twins, so there are so many moments to capture with their antics! One I really wish I had was when they were crawling and attempted to get out the doggie door…and got stuck! Noone got hurt, and it was SO funny! 🙂
I wished we had captured our son’s first fourth of July. His animated responses filled with trepidation, surprise, awe, and delight were so wonderful; I sit here smiling at the memory as I write this post —
I’m pregnant with our second little girl right now, and I would have loved something like this at the Dr’s office when we found out we were having another girl, and on the car ride home when we told our 3yo that she was going to have a sister. That expression on her little face was PRICELESS, as were here immediate comments, and we missed the opportunity to record the moment. Thanks for the giveaway!
Right now! My 3 year old is out on the drive way “helping” my hubby change the oil in the car. Standing there with a screwdriver and calling himself a mechanic. 🙂
It would be fun to have our daughter’s first cry when she was born. Although even though I don’t have it on video, I will always remember it. It would have been fun to play it for her when she is older…
I wish I had a camcorder to record any of my daughter’s “firsts.” It’s ten years later, and we’re trying to have a second child and I’d love to not miss out this time!
Sigh…I wish we were able to capture my son hitting his first home run last year. It still makes me sick that I don’t have it on video.
The camcorder would have been great to capture my son running in his first “fun run” associated with a 5k my husband ran. He took off before the start and kept running past the finish line toward the bounce house across the parking lot!
The birth of my first child. But we have a second chance, I am due with my second in November!
I wish I had taken a family photo the last time my mother had come to visit my family. It turned out that due to her being diagnosed with ALS shortly thereafter, this was the last time she spent with all of us as a family. With a set-up like this there would never be a missed opportunity again!
When my daughter was born, she made the most adorable bird chirp noise. She never cried, but chirped, instead. I didn’t realize it would be a fleeting thing, and I regret we didn’t capture it on video. How I wish we had this camcorder!
I wish we could have recorded when my mom first met my daughter, the day after she was born. 🙂
We lost a niece to neuroblastoma. My girls only had a handful of moments with their cousin before she passed away – wish we’d captured those moments on video. We are, however, fortunate enough to have a few photos.
The one moment I wish I had captured on video is my son doing his Wiggles Dance – Hot Potato Song.
I wish I had a camcorder when my son and I first went to my hometown and met his great-grandmother for the first time. Though she is very sick and not very strong, my baby walked right up to her and sat down next to her all night. Moments like that are priceless!
I wish we had captured any of the nights of my first daughter being an only child waiting on baby #2. She used to hug at my pregnant belly and talk to the baby. All those precious little kid moments are really fleeting. They grow so quickly. It was such a shame to have missed it.
There are so many moments I have already missed! But I wish I had the HP camcorder when we picked my son up from camp the first time he was away from home. The smile on his dirty, but happy face was priceless!
Last year this camcorder would have come in very handy for some lasting memories at an extended family get together where my dad and ALL the grandkids piled on one couch together(all 8 of them!) to watch tv. It was a moment that a camera picture just didn’t do justice!
The HP camcorder would have been ideal to catch my son take his first steps on his own! The mixture of nervousness, fear and excitement I will remember always, but the look on his face when he walked independently was so worth capturing!
I would have loved to capture my daughters first few steps. She just turned one and is beginning to walk. What made this extra special was that my 3 1/2 year old son was holding his arms out and encouraging his little “pumpkin”(that’s what he calls his little sister). To watch the happiness on both of my children’s faces was priceless, and to have captured it would have been awesome!!
I wish I’d caught my dad playing soccer with my older son. They came out to visit us from the UK after the younger was born. It was a hot day, and they were just kicking around in the shade back yard. It was the last time any of us saw my dad healthy, he died of cancer just over a year later.
I wish I had this camcorder, when my 10 week old daughter smiled for the first time at her big brother. He was so happy and proud, since he is so madly in love with her. Would have been a wonderful moment to capture on video.
This would have been perfect for our first trip to the beach this year! Wish I could have caught our daughter’s awe on film!
I really wish I would have captured the birth of my daughters. Looking back I wish I had video of their births.
I wish I had been able to capture mt son’s first school play on one of these instead of my grainy point-and-shoot camera’s video.
Love Love Love both of these! Little is better!!
I wish that I had a captured when our puppy was brought home for the first time…no one had seen him IRL before that.
I would use the camera to capture the pure joy my 3 children express when playing in the surf at the beach!
i wish i had it for my 4 y/o first ballet recital, she looked so pretty i was so proud of her, also gonna miss filming her first day of preschool.
I wish we had the first few months of my daughter’s life recorded. We didn’t have a camcorder when she was born so we don’t have any video from the hospital or once we got home…only pictures. While pictures are great, it’s just not the same as being able to record your little one when they are so new to the world.
This might be cliche but I wish we had recorded our sons birth. At least the last like 5 minutes. I didn’t think I wanted to because well let’s face it it gets yucky down there BUT now that it’s over I wish I would have done it because even though I was there I missed it. I didn’t see him being pushed out {How could I!?, I thought a mirror would be distracting} and I would have loved to have seen those moments whenever I wanted too. What he looked like the minute he came out, how I looked seeing him for the first time. The look on my Mom’s face seeing her baby’s baby and the look on B’s face when he saw his son for the very first time!
I wish I would have recorded our family reunited when my husband returned from a 7 month deployment!
After many years of trying, we finally found out we were pregnant. The day between my FIL’s birthday and my MIL and FIL’s anniversary. Unfortunately, it was the first time we experienced those dates without my FIL.
So when the baby was born and my MIL flew to see us in CA, I stood with digital camera in hand to snapshot the second she walked through the door and welcomed her first grandchild into her arms. Would have been much better to capture it on an HP camcorder!
I wish that I could have gotten many of the moments I misses when he was born 3 months prematurely and I couldn’t be there every second that I wanted to. It was hard enough not to be able to bring him home but missing those moments was really hard. Thanks so much for the chance to win!
I wish I could have captured my daughters first talent show at school. Even though the school made DVD’s that cost $10 The recording didn’t come out right 🙁
I would have loved to capture my daughter with my grandparents.
I really wish I would`ve had that last weekend, when we all went to the waterslides,,it was a blast, and I wish I would`ve captured it on video!!
karla.sceviour@nf.sympatico.ca
I would absolutely love to win this HP giveaway. I wish I would have had this video recorder when my mom came to my son’s 8th birthday. We took a few pictures but didn’t have a video camera. My mom had a heart attack the very next day and passed away. We had so much at the party that I sure wish I could have gotten her on video that day.
Thanks for the opportunity to win this great package.
Julie
i really wish we had a camcorder for the last Christmas my Mother had shared with us in our home just before she passed away, those kind of memories are priceless.
I wish I had been able to capture my first moments with my first son. After he was born, my husband got out the camera to take some photos and it was dead. We are still so upset we don’t have those precious moments on film.
I wish I had recorded my son’s first forays into the snow almost three(!) years ago. Now we live in Florida and the chances of snow here are, well, zip. Thanks for the giveaway!
I really wish I had captured more of my kids first days on video. I have lots of pictures, but still pictures don’t always capture the peaceful feeling of those first days. And I would have loved someone to interview me about how I was feeling on video. Thanks for the chance!
Wished we would have captured video of when our daughter first met her little brother in the hospital.
I would have loved to capture my daughter’s at the beach for the first time…they both experienced it in different ways… My oldest hated the sand and would let her butt hit the sand before her feet if you tried to put her down while my youngest just took off right for the water, she loves the beach (I call her my beach bum.
My sweet but scampy little boy is *this* close to taking his first steps! We missed catching my little girl’s first steps on video, but it would be lovely to capture our boy’s! And then to have a great computer to put them on my blog??! Heaven!
I wish I had a camcorder to record some time with our blue heeler before she passed she was with us for 8 yrs and all we have are some pics I just wish I wish we had some video of her playing with us.
I wish I had it, when my son started jabbering. He was kicking around one night and realized he had a voice.
I really wish I would have had the HP camcorder to catch my husband’s reaction at the delivery of our daughter’s birth. We didn’t find out the sex of the baby, so when she was born it was a complete surprise!
I really wish I had an HP camcorder to capture the moments when my Dad was just being himself. He passed away from a cancerous tumor when I was 2 months pregnant and would have loved to show our little girl footage of her grandfather.
I would have loved to have a camcorder at the end of June 2010, so that I could have captured my son and his great grandpa one last time before July 1, 2010 when great grandpa passed away. 🙁
I wish I had recorded my daughter reading all by herself for the first time.
The camera would capture my daughter’s 4 year old wisdom words!
I would have loved to have on video the moments just after Leo’s birth, when we first laid eyes on our beautiful baby boy.
We just returned from a family camping trip to Yellowstone and would have loved to capture my kids having fun in such a beautiful National Park.
I wish I had a camcorder to record my fathers burial – it was in CT and my immediate family is in FL and were unable to attend. It was a beautiful graveside, military service and I know it would have helped many in our family with closure.
My moment, my mother watching me give birth to my daughter. When she gave birth to us, she was “knocked out”. She never saw the beautiful and magical experience first hand. She and my daughter have an unbreakable bond, because she was able to experience birth for the first time.
I wish we had a video to capture my son doing a full belly laugh as he chased around our poor dog in his walker. It was a hoot!
It would have been great to capture the moment we told my parents we eloped – at my mom’s birthday dinner! That was a winner.
My daughters were 8 and 9 years old when their brother was born and they were so excited to have a baby brother. I wish I had a video of them fussing over him, singing to him, reading to him and being little mothers to him. They were so sweet and I would love to have been able to capture those moments on video.
It would have been great to capture my baby girl’s 1st birthday party last weekend. I would have liked to capture the moment in video and record who was there & at what stage all the kids were at so I could embarass them at some future teenage birthday 🙂
My parents and brothers live on the other side of the world and we’ve only been back to see them once. It would have been so nice to have been able to capture on video the moments my family had with my daughter.
I wish I had recorded my son and my father playing football in a shady backyard in June 2008. My folks live in the UK, and it’s the last time we saw him healthy. Just an ordinary moment, that turned out later to be one so loaded.
Thanks for the opportunity, hope I’m not coming in with a duplicate here, got an error message on the last attempt.
Right before BlogHer, we spent the day at a water park. I so wish I would have been able to capture the look on my 2 year olds face when she went down on of the toddler slides the first time. It was absolutely priceless. First the look of fear with her eyes as wide as saucers, then after reaching the bottom the look of relief and oh yea…that was fun, let’s do it again. So cute!
I really, really wish I had been able to capture my children on video with their Grandpa before he died a few years ago.
That camera would have come in handy yesterday (Friday) in WalMart, when Katie started singing “her song” out of the blue in the middle of the store. She was patting the cart for the beat and singing away. It was adorable and the only one who got to see it was me.
I wish I had a video of my daughter’s first time at the playground. She had a huge grin on her face while her daddy pushed her on the swing.
Capturing memories on video helps us hold on to them for generations. One particular moment I wish I had been able to capture was when I took the pregnancy test that proved it to the world! I live far from my parents and moments like that can not be shared over the phone or “one more time”. I would love to be able to catch the moments and share them with those we love.
I wish I had a camcorder for my sons “1st” milestones. It’s really hard to capture his first time rolling over with a cell phone camera.
I wish I captured my daughter’s first birthday. I did take pictures and uploaded to my computer, which promptly got…stolen!
I would be so thrilled to win this, it would be a huge blessing. We have an 8 month old and there are almost too many moments that are “firsts” right now that I want to capture. First time to say momma and dada, first crawl, first giggles, first foods. One precious night as I was singing and patting his back, he started patting my back and making a humming noise. Priceless moment. Look forward to so many more~
I wish I had captured the first time my son, Sebastian, 2 1/2 saw his little sister, Quincy, who was born on June 28th, 8 weeks premature. The smile on his face was so so precious, you could tell he was really excited to be a big brother. He kept craning his neck to see her better in her little isolette. Now that she’s home, I want to capture the moments of them growing up together!
Thanks Cool Mom Picks!
So cool! I wish I had a camcorder this past week when my daughter jumped off the diving board for the first time and next week when she starts Pre-K.
I love little tech stuff. Much easier to tote around especially when I’m running after three kids. Thanks
I have so many moments I wish I had captured but if I had to pick one family moment it would be my wedding day 🙂
I would love to capture my daughters funny faces and snorting noises to send to her grandmother that lives in Argentina, or my son learning to swim, or so many other moments!
I wish I had the camcorder to tape my sons age 3 and 5 bonding with their newborn baby brother. It was such a sweet moment, boys were sitting together arms around each other, smiling so big. All of a sudden, my 3 year old said ‘Mommy, he’s cute but how did the baby get out of your belly?’ LOL. Gotta love 3 year olds
Just this morning baby girl was tired and feel asleep while playing on wood floors… Adorable & funny! It’s the little moments that don’t get captured but I want to remember.
I wish that I had video of my grandfather before he died to show to my son, who never had a chance to meet him. I think about him all the time and wish he were here.
I wish I had that camcorder to record my sons preschool spring program. My youngest grabbed the mic and went solo then had to be dragged off stage since he kept singing way after the song was over. Priceless, and now only a memory.
My daughter just had her fourth birthday party today. Batman and Sleeping Beauty were there. I wish I had captured some of it on video!
This is such a great combo – perfect for bloggers and families! I would have loved to capture Easter morning this year while our whole family was gathered together at our new house & the kids discovered the giant Easter basket on the doorstep!
The moment I wish would have been captured on video was when my two-year-old daughter literally started shaking with excitement, then ran into my husband’s arms when he picked us up at the airport. Grandma’s house was fun, but she missed her daddy! 😉
I wish I had a HP camcorder to capture the first steps of my son as he was learning to walk.
I wish I would have captured the moment when my daughter told her father,”Daddy! I’m not a pillow….I’m a kid!!”.
LOL! I guess he shouldn’t try to snuggle with her too much.
Okay, it is taking me a while to flip through the memory book in my mind but I think that I would have loved to have had the HP V5040u Camcorder during each of my son’s first moments of life, OR their first steps, first words, ANY FIRST… my older son’s very first day of preschool, OR the moment when I first found out I was pregnant with either of my children, OR the first time my dad held his first grandchild! I could go on and on but I think that a little camera tucked away in my purse ready for to be used at any moment would be such a great way to document important, silly, special and loving moments in my family!
My twin daughters were born prematurely by emergency c-section and I wish we had a camcorder to capture their birth and subsequent stay in the NICU. They are now old enough to appreciate how small the once were at 2 pounds but pictures can only go so far. At the time video was the furthest thing from our minds but it is my biggest regret from that time!
I really wish i would’ve had a camera to capture the
moments of spring break of 2010. During this week my eldest son (8 years old) had his first baseball game and scored the team one point! He had been practicing with my eldest nephew (14 years old) since he signed up. Also during that week, we took a family trip to Dixie Land here in TN. I really wish I would have captured the smiles on ALL of my children’s faces! They were glowing with joy. My daughter (4 years) came up to me and said with the biggest grin on her sweet little face pointing to her cheeks, “Momma, these hurts.” We all laughed. This trip was the most talked about in our household but sadly, we have very few moments captured.
My son used to make these chewbacca noises when he was little….I wish I had a camcorder then.
I wish we had the camcorder to record my daughter’s first word which was book. She had been saying it for a while, but I wasn’t sure that’s what she meant. One day we went to Barnes & Noble, and she started saying, “book, book, book” and pointed to the millions of books. I’d love to show her that lightbulb moment one day, but I guess I’ll just have to tell her about it!
i missed my 4 yo and 2 yo serve as ringbearers for my little sister’s wedding… rumor has it that they did really well and even waved to the groom as they approached the alter. i also missed the vows because i was tending to my newborn…
Just today I would have loved to have had a camera while my son sang twinkle, twinkle, little star.
I wish I would have had a video camera when my 20 month old was showing off all the animal sounds she knows. When she got to the pig and tried to snort nothing came out. She then grabed her nose and said, “My pig is broken!”
I wish someone had recorded my daughter immediately after she was born. Due to circumstances surrounding her birth, the nurses took her away as soon as she was born and I didn’t get to see her or hold her for what seemed like forever (five to ten minutes more like).
I would have loved to film some special moments with my grandparents and my daughter so she has something to remember them by.
I wish I had this camera to capture my 11 month old twin girls hugging and laughing together today!
I wish I had more vidoes fropom my neices overseas…They only visit so often…
The camcorder would have come in really handy during one of the cutest bath moments for my kids…when big sister and little brother finally got to have a bath together…so much fun especially for the 2 year old and the 6 month old!
I wish I had a video camera when we were coming home from the county fair and my seven yr old starting belting out from memory a Johnny Cash song. It was loud and enthusiast! It is a great memory, but a video would have been amazing!
I wish I’d captured my son’s birth on that camcorder. He was born in the car on the way to the hospital…husband too busy driving at break neck speed to take any photos!
I wish I had captured more of her first words. They all came on so quickly!
Oh, there are moments every day with my two year old son when I say “if only I had taped that!” For instance, this week when he decided that the appropriate attire for a visit to his grandparents’ was a green diaper cover and his matching green duckie boots; that’s it.
The first time we took our daughter to the Magic Kingdom and she saw a character for the first time.
This camcorder would have been great when my 6 month old was cracking up lile crazy when we did peakaboo for him!
I wish I had one tonight. My daughter and husband having their first camp out in my parents back yard by the beach. The two of them eating s’mores in their matching camp chairs by the fire. Too cute!
I would love to have a small camcorder to carry in my diaper to catch everyday moments with my kids have an 18 month old and a 3 year old so we have a lot of cute moments.
I wish that I would have had a video recorder when my son soloed an airplane on his 16th birthday! Yes, he really flew an airplane all by himself! I was a nervous wreck and if I would have had a camera to video it with, maybe I could have focused on recording the whole thing instead of freaking out! He did absolutely great!! I was so very relieved and so proud!
I really wish I would have captured my son at skateland the other day. He was biffing all over the place, but still had a grin on his face nonetheless and was trying to jam out to the songs they were blasting!! It was CLASSIC, and I’m bummed I didn’t get it on camera!
Wish we had a camcorder moment of my daughters first tricycle ride. She was so excited!
My son’s birth. I regret not filming it.
There are so many moments I wish I had recorded. A recent one was when we surprised my daughter with a new big girl bed. She was soooo excited – her squeals of joy were precious until she realized we expected her to sleep in it – the tantrum was monumental. It just wasn’t same in a photograph.
I wish that we could have captured the moment when my doctor told us that we were pregnant with twins. I never in my wildest dreams would have ever thought that I could naturally conceive twins and it would have been nice to be able to look back at the biggest surprise of our lives.
I really wish I had a camcorder to catch my family jumping on the trampoline at the beach. At least I had a camera with me, but there are some things that are better with a camcorder.
Wish i had this camcorder to video my children more with my grandmother before she passed!
Wish i had this camcorder to video my children more with my grandmother before she passed!
I wish I had video of my daughter’s reaction as she witnessed my son’s birth. I didn’t see it (obviously I was otherwise occupied!), but I’d love to see the look on her face as she quietly watched her brother being born.
I wish I had video of my daughter’s reaction as she witnessed my son’s birth. I didn’t see it (obviously I was otherwise occupied!), but I’d love to see the look on her face as she quietly watched her brother being born.
This is just an everyday moment..but one you wish you had captured on film. I was taking my 3 1/2 year old daughter and 15 month old son on a walk. A cool windy summer night here in Northern CA…Sofia was running into the wind…laughing and skipping. Peyton had the biggest smile on his face as the leaves whipped around his body and the wind almost knocked him down. You could just see the sweet innocence and fun they were experiencing! A thrill only a child could experience…I just wish I could watch that minute over and over!
I wish I had captured my daughter when she first said “mama”. Would love to play that back again and again!
I wish I could turn back the clock to record my husband’s look of surprise and joy when I told him that he was going to be a Daddy!
Would have loved to capture my children’s births on
video! What a fabulous giveaway. Thanks for the chance!
Ptrippiedi@aol.com
Would have loved to capture my pregnancies and our childrens’ births. Thanks for the chance to win this great HP mini and videocamera!
I wish I had been able to make a video of something that happened when my nephew was 1. My father took out a cookie, and my nephew RAN over to my father, who gave it to him. My nephew then happily walked in circles around his parents as he ate it. My sister later told me that this was his first cookie; before then, he had only seen cookies in picture books.
I would love to have a camcorder (and a small one!) for recording the stories my girls make up while playing. They create these elaborate fairy tales and use all kinds of imaginative things from around the house… to be able to tape them without them knowing would be priceless.
Wish, wish, wish I had this tomorrow for my son’s 1st day of kindergarten!
There are so many moments I wish I would have captured. I would have loved to record my daughter’s first day of school. What a difference a year makes! Regardless, I think it will be fun for my kids to look back on fun childhood moments as well as share videos of themselves with their kids.
I wish I had a video camera with me on Friday when I took a birthday cake to my son’s daycare. His class sang to him and he was so excited. We also might be moving to another state away from family…if that happens, we’ll need to send pics and videos to Grammy and Poppy since they won’t be close to use any longer.
I wish we had recorded the first time my son saw a clown. He’d NEVER been afraid of anything before, so his reaction totally took us by surprise. High-pitched scream, panic-stricken face, and after the initial fear-induced paralysis wore off, he ran as fast as his little toddler legs could go. Priceless.
That video would have been awesome the first time he tried to look cool in front of his friends.
I wish I had filmed bits and pieces of an average day with my kids at various ages. They grow so fast that it’s hard to remember all of the little things they did and said.
I could be really sappy here and say we would’ve recorded the birth of our children… but I had them both via c-section and honestly, who really wants to see a c-section? A video of my guts being ripped open? Yay, not for me.
And honestly, I’m more of a video things that are really weird and crazy, like yesterday when my kid was chasing me around the house shouting: MOM! GET MY BOOGER!
Now that is an Oscar worthy moment!
There are so many things I wish I could catch on video. I’d love to have had my kiddo when he was first trying to crawl. It was so cute!
I wish I captured my son when he was first born. I wish I had those moments to watch over and over because I honestly can’t remember too much because of the medication from my c-section. I would love to hear his first cry again and see the first time we met him.
Next week, this would be perfect for my son’s 3rd birthday party!
may be a cliche but the first moments after my son was born! we thought we had them on film but the camcorder was broken…all those joyous moments lost 🙁
I wish we had recorded the arrival home of our daughter after her second heart surgery. She was ten months of age and her four and a half year old sister had missed her so much she had made signs and a little stuffed animal welcome home arrangement.
I wish I had recorded the way my four and a half year old prepared our living room to welcome her ten month old baby sister home from her second heart surgery. She missed her so much, she had colored a multitude of pictures and lined up all her dolls and stuffed animals to welcome her home.
It would have been wonderful to capture our son’s face when he realized he could jump off the diving board into the pool. He went in smiling and came back up smiling.

This is actually my third time trying to enter, I left a comment 8/6 and again on 8/7 but neither is showing up.
There are so many times that would have been nice to have on video. But one is I would have liked to get my son’s bike racing on video

I wish I had captured my daughter’s first ballet recital…. It was so darling…
I have so many moments that I would have liked captured of video. One would have been Jayden’s first major league baseball game, or Colby’s first time playing football. But most of all I would love to video tape the child we have yet to meet yet… due date 2/25/2011
I would have loved to capture my second daughters birth on video especially big sister meeting her. I have great pics from my firsts birth but notheing but a single cell phone shot of the seconds.
i wish i had recorded my son holding my face in his hands and singing “i got you babe” so his grandparents who live across the world from us could have seen it.
I wish I’d captured moments between my daughters and their cousin. My niece passed away from neuroblastoma at age 8. We have a few photos, but video would have been nice, so my daughters could have preserved memories of their cousin.
The last 6 months I have been using my camera which only does 1 minute videos… which doesn’t really do much for videotaping my daughters life. I have missed the 4th of july.. the zoo and her 31/2 birthday interview.
Hi! When Veronica ( my 2 year old) and I went to visit the alpaca farm on there open farm weekend a few months ago – cute little puppies greeted us and that would have been cool to have on video – but then walking out on the field to meet some OH SO cute alpacas and then they responded by spitting grass in our face – priceless but not on video! We still talk about it and laugh, but to capture it would have been hilarious.
thanks for the contest!
Katey
It would have been great to capture the kids first steps!
I wish my spouse and I had had an HD camcorder to record the very first moment we met our daughters, in an orphanage in Ethiopia.
I would like to capture wonderful interviews with my sons stating their opinions about things so we can have this to look at later on. I would also like to do video travel journals with them when we visit Brazil every year to see family.
I wish we had captured my son’s birth! We used an old and very difficult video camera 🙁
I have three kids, and wasn’t cleaver enough to capture video of any of them learning to walk! Thanks for the chance to win this awesome package!
I would have loved to capture my 89-year-old grandmother’s reaction when I told her I was pregnant. We gave her a necklace box, and inside was the positive pregnancy test. She looked at it and said “but I’m not pregnant”. My mom responded “buuut….”. Then my gram looked up at me, with tears of joy in her eyes and just started bouncing in her seat.
I too have a thing for small things & love the laptop & the cute camcorder! The one thing I wish I would have captured with an HP camcorder would have been my daughter’s 8th grade graduation!!! I am so bummed about missing that special moment & not being able to share with my in-laws in an other state.
I wish I had the camcorder for a day at the beach when my then 5 and 7 year old sons were learning to surf and they both were”riding” a wave coming into shore at the exact same time with the sun setting behind them! It would have been awesome to capture!
There are so many moments in which I wish I owned a video camera! I have two young children under the age of two. They have many firsts in their lives- first time held by thier grandparent, first words, first Christmas…I really would love to win one!!
I would love to video my son right now!! He’s 2 and just starting to talk a lot. I love their little voices and the way they say things at this age!! It’s so hard to remember later what they sounded like and this would capture this precious age! 🙂
I would love to video my son right now! He’s 2 and just starting to talk a lot. The things he says and the way he says them is just adorable and something I would love to capture!!
i wish we filmed our girls during a school performance, one playing the drum and singing while the other joined in dancing and singing.
I wish we would have had a video camera to capture my 3 year old singing on stage for the first time (impromtu) for over 100 people!
I wish I had the camcorder to tape my son 14 year old son Tyler hitting a baseball during a game into the FedEx guy truck just as he pulled up. Believe it or not the guy caught it and threw it back through his open truck door. He was on the opposite side of the truck too. What the odds of that? Wish I would of have that on America’s Funny Video’s. One in a million moment!
Linda Davison
I wish I had captured my son’s baptism, though at the time it seemed like it would have taken away from the spiritual nature of the event so I didn’t record it but if I had a mini recorder I don’t think anyone would have noticed.

I wish I could have captured the looks on my kids faces when their grandparents made a surprise visit from FL last week.
I wish I could have captured the looks on my kids faces when their grandparents made a surprise visit from FL last week.
I wish I had a picture every time my 7 month old sees his older brother who is 3. He is so smitten with him his entire face lights up every time he walks in the room.
A great moment to capture on video would have been the last time my husband came home from the desert- our daughter flew across the terminal and jumped into his arms, followed by me. What a great moment that was.
I would love to have a video of my 3 grandchildren when we went to the zoo this summer! They had sooo much fun and so did “Granda & Grandapa”.
What a great review of the products, now you’ve got my attention.
A great moment to have captured on video was when my husband was together with his five sisters over Fourth of July for the first time since their mother died a few weeks ago (his father died 5 yrs before), and they all conspired to dunk him in the baby pool. Good times!!!
I would have loved it tonight when my husband was trying to bathe the dog outside with my two-year old’s “help”!
I wish I had captured on video my younger daughter practicing her older sister’s dance recital dance–she had watched her big sister’s class so much, she knew all the steps!
Too many to choose from – just know this: the 2nd child really does get the short end of the stick! There are many moments we have not captured with her that we could have if taking video was more convenient.
Wish I had captured my 3 year old daughter singing “Caillou’s Rock-n-Roll Band” a couple of weeks ago. She was using a kid-sized vacuum cleaner as a guitar and “strumming” it while singing and dancing to the beat.
I wish I had captured some of our first-family road trip from Chicago to Nebraska this summer. Three kids, 2 adults, 9 hours in the car – lots of fun!
The one moment I wish I had on video was when my twin daughters spontaneously broke into song together singing baby beluga while each in their own cribs getting ready to nap. The door was shut, I thought they had fallen asleep and then all of the sudden I could hear the two little voices in unison sing “baaaaby beluuuuuga…”
cracked me up, but it kills me that i don’t have video of it to watch now that they’re 8 years old.
I would love to have a recording of my 3-year-old daughter and her 5-year-old friend giving an impromptu concert at the empty amphitheater in a state park. Selections included Lady Gaga’s “Telephone,” as well as Raffi’s “Baby Beluga!”
There’s so much that I’d like to capture with my daughter on video — and the iPhone camera just doesn’t cut it. Swimming and playing at the beach would be key things I’d love to be capturing right now!
I would have loved to have captured my toddler banging on my husband’s head with a spoon while they were both wearing brand new bike helmets.
I would have loved to have captured my toddler banging on his Dad’s head with a spoon while they were wearing their brand new bike helmets.
I wish we had a video of my daughter’s first steps.
