When an enormous fire roared across San Bruno, California, on September 9, it destroyed homes and uprooted hundreds of people. Scaryโunbelievably scary. But it couldnโt have been more terrifying for anyone than the children and families whose lives were suddenly changed forever.
So as Halloween slinks into view and we start planning parties and costumes for out little ghosts and ghouls (andโsighโwannabe Lady Gagas), hereโs a good way to help those in San Bruno who have had to face real-life scary stuff.
Paper Culture, a Cool Mom Picks favorite, is donating 100 percent of proceeds from its amazing Halloween party invitations and cards to support the San Bruno community. Really: every penny spent on these supercool, so-stylish-you-want-to-throw-a-party -just-so-you-can-send-out-invites cards goes to San Bruno. I love so many of them itโs hard to even pick which one Iโd recommend first.
Oh, and Paper Culture also plants a tree with every order of its recycled paper cards. No trick there. This deal is made entirely of treat. โLexi

oh how awesome! my dad actually lives only a few streets away from where the blast happened. he was evacuated for the night, and then was able to go back home the next day. iโm located on the east coast, so you can imagine the scare i received when i saw the news! my heart truly goes out to all the victims out there. such a horrible tragedy.
